Thanks for explanation of the piles Samoth, so SDT is key ;-)
Meditate draws 4 so you still need a card in your library to do the SDT tricks right ? (drawing one from a top in play works in that case)
well, when you draw meditate/contract, it puts SDT on top, leaving the tendrils as the last card...so you use top to draw that after cracking LED's. I usually go off after casting doomsday, though emidlin shows how you CAN pass the turn post DD and not be **** out of luck

Ok so after playing around i removed 4 of the ponders and put in 4 of the Sensei's Divining Top. So here's how i get around the whole mana doesn't float thing.
1) EOT - Mystical Tutor
2) At upkeep, pop the Diving tops, Then while thats on the stack pop the LED'S still in my upkeep,
3) Draw the adauseum, and cast the instant during my upkeep.
Still playing around, i went to a tourney with this deck and did ok with it..well not relaly went 0-3, two mirror matches and a countertop. Still working on this deck as you really need to know when to keep a hand but so far in more and more testing i'm getting better with it
Aight, I wanna build a combo deck and I decided to try ANT deck. I would like to play UBw so here's what I have so far or what I wanna use. The number of cards are still not final.
If someone can post their competitive version similar to mine would be great. Need help in sb for sure. My meta is full of counter-top, zoo and moon effects.

Moon effects hurt bad, especially when Dragon stompy throws down a Moon on both turn 1s. I played about 2 weeks ago and even though I had about 5 lands out the moon effects were crushing.

You play 6-8 0cc colored mana sources not counting LEDs. Moon effects are a joke unless accompanied by a Chalice @ 0.
There's a new sideboard option against this deck in the next set that any color can run: Mindbreak trap, BB2 instant If an opponent cast three or more spells this turn, you may pay 0 rather than pay Mindbreak Trap's mana cost.
Exile any number of target spells.
also it can be duressed away or stopped with silence and it is too narrow for most sideboards to run unless their metas are overflowing with storm decks

I have begun a quest to amass a collection of bazaar traders and any donations would be greatly appreciated
bazaar trader count: 115 including;1 portugese foil; 7 english foils; 4 russian nonfoils
Volkan Baga should do a chrome mox art
I'm sure the main topic will be why running 1 ad nauseam on MD:D Well after several times that I've been drawing it after I resolve nauseam. I decided to just cut it to 1 and SB one instead.
So far this is the list I'm more comfortable with.
Edit: I am actually running chain of vapor as well for SB -1 angel's grace
Yeah same reasoning here. If your ad nauseam does not resolve your pretty much done. The only problem is when they duress your hand and you have to discard nauseam. That's when you use Iggy to save your head.
Angel's grace lets you draw your whole library if you have already taken a lot of damage in a game. Let's say you have 7 life, you can't cast nauseam anymore. Aggro decks can get you down to 7 life in turn 3 easily if you haven't resolve the combo yet.
@maddogleafs: my only comments are that you should be running hibernation over perish in the side because it is better in so many ways (the only thing worse is it doesn' put them in the grave but you should be able to combo out sooner than that will matter)
and the other comment is that i think you should run basically any good generic bouncer over rushing river because this deck is mana hungry and that card eats up 3 mana in a slot you could be running chain of vapor or boomerang in it's place

Unfortunately I don't have hibernation at the moment. I will however try to get my hands on one and see the difference
and the other comment is that i think you should run basically any good generic bouncer over rushing river because this deck is mana hungry and that card eats up 3 mana in a slot you could be running chain of vapor or boomerang in it's place
The really good thing about rushing river is you can bounce more than one permanent unlike the other 2 you have suggested. I also have chain of vapor on my SB and wipe away. Though you should only bounce when you are ready to combo off anyway
I'm not sure I understand you - you say getting AdN discarded can be solved by IGG (and, I agree), but that aggro decks are an issue because your life drops quite fast? Well, why don't you use IGG against those, too?
I'm not sure I understand you either. Iggy can't do anything when the creatures are already in play. Every scenario is different and unfortunately I can't answer your question because I can't comprehend what your implying here.
Angel's grace is a terrible card, a total waste of deck space.
This doesn't help at all. Your saying it's a bad card but don't have any suggestions to replace it. Broad comment like this is almost as bad as a spam.
Angel's grace lets you Ad Nauseam without worrying about losing life. That's why it's in the main. You fetch for it when your life is low and you wanna combo off.
Again the example was your at 7 life, creatures in play you suggested use IGGY unless your combo goes off that turn IDK how you can win and how IGGY was relevant after that.
Angel's grace, bad card you said, suggestions perhaps? Care to defend why it's bad? Any wider reasoning on why you think it's not a good card?
If they counter ad-nauseam then you lose anyway...
I only play 1 ad-nauseam because all that the 2nd one does is hit you for five when you find it with the first 1...
Well guess what this deck has been piloted by dozens if not hundreds of people to success and all of them have been running 2 ad nauseam. Because that is the right number unless there is absolutely no control in your meta at all at which point you should be filled with glee because it will be hard as hell to lose to anything without counter magic.
IGG helps you combo out without needing to draw a lot of cards with ad nauseam so you get hurt less. Which is why it's better than angel's grace; it's a hell of a lot more on color and builds up storm count and lets you find ad nauseam via dark rit, LED, and infernal tutor.
I like chain of vapor over rushing river; or echoing truth. You don't want to use 3 mana for a bounce spell unless it's wipe away against control.
Yeah I agree with loop and besides this deck consistently goes off at turns 2-3 and how low could your life be on that turn? Usually goblins goes turn 1 vial or lackey and even a turn 2 siege gang doesn't matter much because you can combo out EASILY at 19 life and if you fizzle you are one unlucky individual.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
This deck combo's out turn 2-3 most of the time but I've seen this deck combo out on turn 4 and 5. That is why I why I wanna know how IGGY can help with creatures already in play. The next tourney is going to be lots of aggro deck so I'm trying to find out as much as I can on how to deal with it on every possible scenario.
I guess chain of vapor would be a better choice for bouncing I agree.
edit: alright I understand your reasoning now loop

I guess you're right, but we also thought blood letting was a valid metical practice for hundreds of years too. Just my opinion.
My meta is full of control, but I have consistently been able to frce through an ad-nauseam with pact and duress.
One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post is that I do have a way to get a second ad-nauseam if need be in the form on cunning wish.
Angel's grace is bad because you have to spend 1 more tutor+mana to find this piece of crap, which doesn't really do anything. If you can't ad nauseam, then IGG. Why waste deckspace?
I run a MD grace, and I can vouch for at east 1 valid use for it. When you play against burn you will find it off of the Ad-nauseam, then respond to the burn spell that would kill you otherwise.
I guess angels grace MD is alright IF YOUR WHOLE META IS FULL OF BURN. Which I doubt unless you have a lot of people who like playing the deck because burn is boring as hell. And post ad nauseam you should almost always win because you have pact, duress, and silence/chant all in your hand most likely.
Oh and if your whole meta is aggro control type decks with FoW and counterspells why wouldn't you run 2 ad nauseam? Cunning wish is awful in this deck.

All of these absolutes... People have opinions that aren't yours and you have to deal with that. MD grace is one slot! What would you rather me put there? And why is it so much of a problem if I won't see it pre-nauseam 88.3% of the time??
Again, I have won games with cunning wish, so it clearly isn't AWFUL in this deck. That is just your opinion. Also, to answer you question: I don't play a second nauseam because by the time I get the rest of the stuff that i need to go off, the control player has a hand full of counterspells, and I'm under pressure of a goyf or two.
You have your way of playing the deck, I have mine.
