High Tide, TES, and ANT run most of the 1-mana blue cantrips, Tin Fins almost completely relies on G-shizzle, many SI lists still rely on Cruel Bargain and Infernal Contract, and the creature-based storm decks (like Cheeri0s) won't work without Glimpse. I'd call this a pretty serious storm hoser -- the only "storm" deck I see working around it is Belcher.
If they have the combo in hand, it does nothing. It only hurts brainstorm, which you can do end of turn anyways and minimize the damage. In short, its good, but it does nothing to minimize death and taxes and maverick REAL problems.

Well true. However, as spirit's effect does not trigger from its owner's hand, it has little effect on storm combo decks. Storm decks typically have their hand sculpting done by the time this guy comes into play, and are ready to go ahead and kill you.
Also, Spirit's effect totally doesn't hit Ad Nauseum. It does hit griselbrand, which forces them into the fallback plan of "beat you to death with an evasive, lifelinking 7/7).
If they have the combo in hand, it does nothing. It only hurts brainstorm, which you can do end of turn anyways and minimize the damage. In short, its good, but it does nothing to minimize death and taxes and maverick REAL problems.
U draw one, put two on top of your library sounds awful. This is like a Chains of Mephistopheles creature.

I'm going to second this. Most of the decks you will play this to hurt have too many answers to it. It will be off the board before it hurts them and the three power, while nice, is not as useful on a creature without some sort of evasion.
I've never liked Chains of Mephistopheles. It just doesn't offer a powerful enough effect for the utter lack of board position. I've long felt that the best thing you could do would be to print a similar effect on a two mana creature.
So I'll just say that I'm incredibly pleased to see Spirit of the Labyrinth printed. It's going to be as close to a supposed "Magus of Mephistopheles" as we'll get.
It's a little disappointing to see it at one toughness, there's been a huge influx of -1/-1 effects as of late due to TNN, it will die to the natural white creature hate ala Dread of Night and Sulfur Elemental, and it can't profitably swing into Deathrite Shaman the way your classic 2/2 hatebear can. That said, three power is good. It clocks faster which is relevant against combo decks, and it can trade with Nimble Mongoose which is something hatebears have never really been able to do on their own.
It has potential homes in D&T, Maverick, non-blue Stoneblade decks like Team Italia.

The strength of hatebears for DnT is in two things. 1. The power of the hate, and 2. The sum of each hate piece is greater than the individual parts.
As pointed out, the spirit has little effect on storm on its own. It still has some effect though. It cuts off cantrips during the combo turn, if they still need something to complete the combo. (EG Past in Flames, plenty of mana and storm, but no tutor in yard) Your opponent won't always have it by turn 2/3, and you have other plays that restrict his actions in addition to the spirit.
The power of the spirit against storm is in combination with the other bears. You have canonist out? Well, now they can't cantrip into their permanent hate answer. You have Thalia? If they had more than one cantrip, they might still have one stranded in their hand. You have Revoker on LED? Now they might need to cantrip for different/more mana sources, except they can't.
Icing on the cake? A 3 power beater is definitely relevant against storm, because you need a clock.
Don't underestimate the card in DnT against storm decks.
I like the new 3/1 girl. I like her a lot with my current boo Thalia. Only issue is finding space for her in a list. DnT or Maverick are packed. Ethersworn Canonist usually aids the combo match. Not sure if this girl hoses combo/control in the same way, but turning off additional draws like brainstorm/jace is huuuuuge.

Spirit of the Labyrinth is a very strong card, but I don't think it is necessarily what DnT even wants. DnT has a strong matchup against most of the decks this is good against anyway.
I'm far more excited about its applications in Vintage than Legacy. It will do work in the Vintage hate decks.

Spirit of the Labyrinth is awesome, it's going to f-up a good number of Legacy brainstorm using decks. It also works well with Dark Confidant
How good is Courser of Kruphix in Maverick as a source of CA that can be Green Sun's Zenithed for? Shoving lands off the top of the deck tends to be a good thing, but Maverick doesn't exactly have a high land count...

Perplexing Chimera changes control when it steals the spell. After the first spell is cast off of omni, they end up with it. So it only stops the combo if the opponent either only has one other card when it's played, or if he didn't read the card. I don't see you ever getting griselbrand. I *do* see you getting a sphinx for a turn at best until they draw an anything they don't mind you having.
Courser's ability isn't great, and it's a 2/4 for three mana. Unfortunately unlike oracle you don't get that extra land drop, and you get to reveal your top card to your opponent so they know what's in your hand. Sorry if I'm being contrarian but I just don't see it.
Chimera is a may. You can choose not to exchange it if the spell isn't one you want to steal. Also Omnitell doesn't play Griselbrand. The spell you want to steal is Enter the Infinite.
Why steal enter the infinite? You actually just die then in two turns due to natural decking (enter is a bad card in a non combo deck.) If you want a card exclusively for show and tell ashen rider is best or if you want to stop enter the new spirit of the labyrinth works too.

You realize that if that spell resolves the Omnitell player is going to win right? I'd rather have another turn to try to win than just lose. I'm not advocating using the new Chimera. I'm simply saying in that situation the spell to steal is EtI. With your whole deck in hand hopefully you can figure out 7 cards that will allow you to win next turn (or at least during your upkeep the turn after).

That's not how non-combo decks work. The upside is you can counter all their everything forever, sure, but the downside is you put yourself on a two-turn clock when you don't necessarily have board presence because you don't get to choose when this happens.
Honestly I could see an Omnitell player giving you EtI so that they can kill you.
The omnitell decks I played in DC ran Griselbrand and EtI, but if the meta has shifted since then than I guess that is what it is.

Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but a lot of the players over on the Enchantress primer are pretty pissed that they didn't get anything good from this set.. Coincidence?
It would have been the same thing if there were no good black cards in torment. When you make a set based around enchantments you would naturally expect at least one good card for those decks.
Not sure what you are calling a coincidence though.

It's seems... As if WoTc is actively trying to sabotage the Legacy format.. Why is it that when Commander comes out that we get two completely ridiculous cards that weren't even ment for the format.. I mean honestly, do any EDH players even play toxic deluge or TNN??? And wtf, Enchantress has been waiting for a new awesome card for like 3 years.. If any points should be made valid here it's that an enchantment based deck SHOULD have some decent cards to pull from an entire set (and possibly block) based off of enchantment usage.. That Legacy thing is just how I feel

TNN and Toxic Deluge were almost certainly designed with Eternal in mind. While we can't know for sure, we can infer from past experiences with the other sets they have made that release directly into the Eternal. They are free to push cards past the usual limits that Standard, and to a lesser extent Modern, imposes and that's how we get cards like Flusterstorm, Shardless Agent, Baleful Strix, etc. It's hard to make cards that are powerful enough to see play in Legacy and Vintage but not cause problems in Standard or Modern. The direct to Eternal releases give them a free avenue to do so and they have clearly taken advantage of the fact.
They design these types of cards with their hearts in the right place, the issue is that they don't really test Eternal to the level they do for other formats, if at all even. When they release cards that they designed for Eternal it's done so with the "hope this goes well, and worst case scenario we can ban it" mindset. That's how we got Mental Misstep; designed for Eternal but banned shortly thereafter.

I could see it being good in a BWG deck. Dark Confidant allows the deck to out card advantage the opponent while both are on the field. Things like Gaddock Teeg, Deathrite Shaman, Stoneforge Mystic, Qasali Pridemage and Tarmogoyf are all very solid cards. The colors allow for TNN hate in Golgari Charm, Zealous Persecution, and Engineered Plague. It hates many of the decks Thalia, Guardian of Thraben hates, but doesn't limit your use of non creature spells.
The deck with a curve of 2 and a aggro control theme could also use Life from the Loam Ravens Crime and Wasteland or even something like Volrath's Stronghold and Birthing Pod if you have a sweet curve.
There's a ton of potential in this card, because it doesn't tax your noncreature cards. It's very Thalia-esque, imo.
