It's a creature the deck doesn't want to play or even need. Exploration does a better job then it as you can actually play additional lands and costs less. This set is a bust for the most part with spirit of the labyrinth as the most notable.

There's one definite playable, a pretty probable playable, and you can maybe make a case for some fringe playables.
What more can you ask for when a new set is made for Legacy?
It's seems... As if WoTc is actively trying to sabotage the Legacy format.. Why is it that when Commander comes out that we get two completely ridiculous cards that weren't even ment for the format.. I mean honestly, do any EDH players even play toxic deluge or TNN??? And wtf, Enchantress has been waiting for a new awesome card for like 3 years.. If any points should be made valid here it's that an enchantment based deck SHOULD have some decent cards to pull from an entire set (and possibly block) based off of enchantment usage.. That Legacy thing is just how I feel
As an EDH player I believe this person clearly never see/play competitive french EDH.
People in multiplayer EDH play TNN? It seems bad there.
I played someone who built a deck designed around naming himself with TNN. Porphory Node, The Abyss, that sort of thing. It wasn't good, but it was funny.

if the rare doesn't cost more then a dollar each it's worth testing especially with cards like Exploration and Gaea's Touch.
I do like the Spirit but I think a lot of brainstorm players are going to ***** about this hate bear.
Continuing the thought someone had about enchantress not getting prints...Didn't enchantress get Sphere of Safety recently? I thought that all but replaced Moat and at a fraction of the cost monetarily.
TNN and Toxic Deluge were almost certainly designed with Eternal in mind. While we can't know for sure, we can infer from past experiences with the other sets they have made that release directly into the Eternal. They are free to push cards past the usual limits that Standard, and to a lesser extent Modern, imposes and that's how we get cards like Flusterstorm, Shardless Agent, Baleful Strix, etc. It's hard to make cards that are powerful enough to see play in Legacy and Vintage but not cause problems in Standard or Modern. The direct to Eternal releases give them a free avenue to do so and they have clearly taken advantage of the fact.
They design these types of cards with their hearts in the right place, the issue is that they don't really test Eternal to the level they do for other formats, if at all even. When they release cards that they designed for Eternal it's done so with the "hope this goes well, and worst case scenario we can ban it" mindset. That's how we got Mental Misstep; designed for Eternal but banned shortly thereafter.
Correct. My apologies
Also, labyrinths got DnT written all over it
Sb-wise.. Obviously

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

In his Second 100 days - Yawgmoth's Bargain is unrestricted in Vintage.
What is going to happen in the Next 100 days!!!

Except that both cards mentioned still do more and for less mana. The monetary investment is irrelevant when bad card is bad.

Yea, I do agree with that. I was never thrilled with drawing lands in my old enchantress deck...
