So they are having a second go at this, up to Scars. While I know many of you will be hoping for sweet reprints, I can't wait for another great draft set. Also, this mean mean that if the fetch cycle is not finished this block, we will see it finished right after. Will be nice.
One issue though, 10 bucks is a lot for a booster, add on the poor sods (like me...) who get the dubious "Honour" of living in countries where the price of boosters is twice that of the State's. This set is also on a limited print run, so it seams Wizards is still tame from the fear Chronicles put in them.

Well if it is true there is a limited print run, we all now know that Modern will be dead by the end of 2015. Who agrees with me on this assumption? Last Modern Masters set doubled and even tripled most of the Modern staples. I can't wait to see the price on Noble Hierarch a few weeks into the set.
@Dicebag: I also agree with you on the price of the packs for us Australians. They will most probably be $20. I'd rather pick up a few staples outside of the set. Also, I don't think they will give us anything to help reduce prices in Legacy.

I think shocklands are going to go up.
And fetch lands are going to drop
What makes u say fetches will drop?
Probably based on the drop in price of Onslaught fetches since the reprint. I'd say it's a pretty logical guess that Zendikar ones will drop if reprinted.

This is not necessarily true, I'm pretty sure it's been stated that this will have a larger print run than MM1. How much larger really determines the price increase or decrease of staples

That's totally untrue, the vast majority of cards in Modern went down with only the highest tier going up. And if Legacy exists then Modern will have no issue.

And the highest Tier cards out of Modern Masters were Modern staples. Thank you for proving my point.

Hey just look at the facts. The most in demand cards for modern skyrocketed after MM1. Goyf doubled in price, which doesn't make it any easier to get for Legacy either. Fortunately, it seems that the use of Gofy has gone down a bit with the printing of TC so maybe the price will come down a bit, though I'm not going to hold my breath.
Still, I gotta ask. What is a thread about MM2 doing in the Legacy subforum? It's not like more than a handful of those cards are Legacy playable. So what gives?

This happens with every new set that gets released to see if it is worth buying for Legacy.

At this point, we know exactly two cards in the set and are months from the start of regular spoilers. Everything else is rumours, speculation, and hypothesizing about market impact -- We have a forumfor eachof these.
I'm closing this thread for the time being accordingly. When we're closer to the release and have a better idea of the product, I will be open to considering reopening the topic.
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.
