It never fails to impress me how people can spit the word "luck" out as if it is some poisonous concept that has no place in MTG.

Losing to BR_Minotaur.dek in the last round of a THS Swiss. He is at 14 life, has been hitting me with Deathbellow Raider boosted by Rageblood Shaman. I have a Spearpoint Oread and a Two-Headed Cerberus enchanted with Dragon Mantle. I have three mountains and two plains. I'm at 8 life when he casts Insatiable Harpy, which he leaves back with his Shaman after swinging with the Raider. He has a swamp untapped.
I untap and swing with the Cerberus.
After a moment of thought, he decides to let him through unblocked.

Karma got me in the end though; game three I drew 12/17 lands over about as many turns while he killed me with Akroan Crusaders.
You really just need to embrace the rage. I keep a small colony of hamsters next to my computer and every time I lose a match to mana screw I throw one against the wall.

Yes indeed. I looked at the pack and went... really... we are going to have a p4(or later) power 9?
I've gotten Time Walk fourth pick online... twice. And both times I picked it over Library of Alexandria.
Also I think every time I opened it, there was at least one Mox in the pack. So I assume it's not completely random; maybe Cube uses some form of print runs.

Conley posted a draft video today where he speculated about the same thing - every time he opened power, he said, the pack had multiple pieces of it. In that draft the pack actually had four pieces of power plus Library. And he took Mox Sapphire over Time Walk, which I disagreed with, but that's something else completely!

Yeah, I saw that, but the logic doesn't follow; if the restricted the amount of power to one per pack, then we'd have less of a chance of doubling up. Having a chunk in the same pack ensures that any of the next four drafters who opened power will double up.

I opened both Xenagos AND Stormbreath Dragon in my last Theros draft. Then got passed a Polis Crusher and 2 Karametra's Acolyte and 2 Nylea's disciple. needless to say I won that draft

Giyz. Srlsy. My final opponent in an 8-4 was playing a MD Witches Eye in GR. What the fart.

I'm starting to get legitimately mad at how late Shipwreck singer goes. FYI, you can absolutely never pick Returned Phalanx over Shipwreck Singer... and I love Phalanx.
Pack 1 pick 7:

Pack 3 pick 8:

Pack 3 pick 9:

Elspeth sat in my SB. Then opened Thassa, Stormbreath, Hero's Downfall in prize packs. 4th straight t4 in a row after winning practically no drafts since Theros's debut.
It's basically a bootleg RW Heroic deck, but instead of using white to provide buffs or creatures that actually get bigger, it just uses blue to draw cards and make tokens until either (A) Anax and Cymede land and makes everything huge, or (B) Bident of Thassa lands and starts a cycle of:
Make tokens
Throw tokens at opponent
Draw cards from whatever gets through
Use cards to make tokens
I was initially uncertain whether this weird pile of cards would work, but it turned out to be surprisingly powerful and some of the most fun I've had in a while.

Living the dream (sided it in in game 2 when I knew I was against UB)
That's awesome!
I lived the dream with Fleeceman Lion in sealed tonight. Things got a little insane as he had a Monstrous Ember Swallower that I had to figure out how to get around (and recover from). So I finally beat it with a Monstrous Fleecemane enchanted with Observant Alseid, Feral Invocation, Hopeful Eidolon, and Heliod's Emissary.
