This is a draft excercise, where people can vote on this particular player's next pick in the draft. Scroll down to the latest post to see the current choices, and maybe take a moment to cast your own vote.
Tragic slip is very close to unconditional removal. It's worth noting there are two good blue cards in the pack: the undying spirit and the zombie lord.
Elgaud Inquisitor isn't the most efficient card mana wise, but the combination of lifelink and dying into an evasive creature make it a pretty solid addition.
Black or white could be a splash color for us, so we are not locked into either yet. None of the cards in the pack are very enticing, so it's hard to tell which one is the best. For me the best candidates are Undying Evil and Ulvenwald Bear. I'll go with Ulvenwald Bear because it can be a 4/4 for just 3 mana.
Frankly, nothing here really appeals to me. And I don't see this becoming a Curse deck. Guess I'll take the tutor, Increasing Ambition. Expensive as tutors go, yes, but we already have a 1-mana spell worth searching for in Tragic Slip. And I wouldn't mind searching for Lingering Souls either for that cost.
I feel like trying to build a curse deck is only cursing yourself. I'm going to vote Thraben Heretic. It's a bear that can randomly hose certain graveyard synergies.

Thraben Heretic is a really good card. It turns off undying and spider spawning, and is a good on-curve body to boot.
Please vote against curses. It's... not a good deck.
Increasing Ambition could be sideboarded in against control. But it's way to slow to maindeck. Maybe we'll wheel it?
