So... i've been playing standard for a while now, and i want to play Modern, however i do not own anything "old" to play Modern, i had an Esper Teachings deck but couldn't complete it.
Anyways i can't decide between Mono White Control and Martyr Proc deck, any suggestion on why to pick a deck over the other?
IMO proc is the better deck between the two. It has also posted some results where MWC has not hit the scene. Depending on your budget you could likely put together one of the UR combo decks as they are quite cheap. You don't really need shocklands as we have an abundance of duals in modern. You would have better results out of either combo deck than what you could with MWC or Proc.

In life all we can do is try to make things better. Sitting lost in old ways and fearing change only makes us outdated and ignorant.

I see, i was thinking on UR combo but a friend of mine told me the same, shocklands, and i'm investing money with standard atm, anyway that i could replace shocklands in a UR combo?

It is not that big of a stretch on the mana base. I would try something like this
4 scalding tarn
4 ISD check lands
2-3 filter lands
2-3 pain lands
x basics or y basics and z other random colored lands like gemstone mine, ect, ect, ect.
It is not optimal, and even 1-2 shocklands would help out, but it is quite obtainable. If you want I could scour a few list and work out an optimal starting mana base without shocks.

This. I did this on MTGO and it's definitely subpar but it's a lot better than most other options.
