What happened to shamans?
It's not even worth the rogue slot? Poor shamans

Thisismich.
If it shows up in another modern daily I will put it back on there. If we get list from PT Philly with a bunch of decks that are "highly" untested I might throw up a new section just called other decks. These will be random decks that are less untested than the decks that I put in rogue. I probably want to see 3 showings of a deck before I consider it for the guide.

In life all we can do is try to make things better. Sitting lost in old ways and fearing change only makes us outdated and ignorant.
Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.

Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity.

Its just a place marker at the point to be quite honest, but I will define it like this.
Tier 1: Makes Up most of the field/ has highest number of top 8s.
Tier 1.5 Has a decent Number of top 8s but is slightly less powerful/popular than tier 1 decks.
Rouge: Fringe decks that will show up time to time. New up and coming decks or decks that have got a top 8 spot in a GP or just a few PTQs. These are essentially untested decks that could make a splash.
Personally I think it's misleading to compose a tier list as long as your going to use an arbitrary metric like "popular." Stick to win percentages and top 8-16 showings if you want it to be meaningful IMO.

Popularity is a big part of whether or not a deck shows up a lot in top 8s. It is almost impossible to Measure win % because I don't know how many of a certain deck will showed up or what they played against.

20% of the field at Philly was some kind 12 Post, but it obviously didn't show up at that rate in the top tiers. It's Very common in MTGO results, but different metas are different.
It really depends on how bad your deck is against a popular deck. You may do well against the decks that will top 8, but if you can't beat that popular deck that makes up 20-30% of the field then you're in trouble. (See Goblins/Fish in Legacy).

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Still haven't got all of the lands. I was going to put the important "special" lands first, but I gotta get on a computer to do a whole lot of text editing because it takes a while on my Ps3.

This is true but the breachpost decks did really well against the UR combo decks which was the decks only natural enemy. I will move it to tier 1.5 if you wish, but I believe it is tier 1 quality.

I'm pretty sure this guide can take a lot from this list.
As for the guide and how it is so far, I think it's shaping up, nothing can be perfect within the first few days.
I would also add Crucible of Worlds, Esper Charm, GSZ, Trinket Mage,
Elspeth, Rite of Flame, Seething Song, Mindbreak Trap, Academy Ruins, Life from the Loam and Obstinate Baloth

That is all true, I made my list hoping for people like you to add to it, then it died down since it did not get stickied...
I did. Not all of the cards in your list are even going to see play let alone be staple worthy. I did add the lands and several other cards from each color from your list. Thanks for your contribution.

I cannot wait for the next big Modern tourney, these dailies do not do any justice right now

I know tell me about it. Heres to hoping I can remove chrome mox off the ban list soon and add tezzerret to the tier 1 deck list.

as more people find out about modern it will become more and more relevant and will be a great way to keep up with staples and the ban list.

Pro's aren't going to play a deck like that. It will still be good at your local tourneys.

Should you just lump Storm into one category considering all storm decks use the same basic cards minus the win conditions?
I noticed there is no Wild Nacatl in there.
