The entire Pro Tour is modern. That would make it the second time that the fall Pro Tour is modern.
On a side note any notice that the set is 274 cards? A full 30 more than the normal "big" sets? Hmm seems like 15 Shocks and 15 Karoo's. Total speculation just a thought.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.

So I fail at counting. I didn't actually check. Anyhow the more important part is that there will be a reason for people to pay attention to Modern.

Wizards has already told us that the Pro Tour in Seattle is Modern, not sure when they listed that but I've known it from that URL for a few weeks now.

This isn't really a big surprise. They have 3 eligible formats for Pro Tours: Standard, Modern, and Block. There are 3 Pro Tours each year. Modern simply took Extended's spot in the yearly rotation.

30 is the perfect number for 10 shocks, Tarmogoyf, Bob, Brainstorm, all 10 fetch lands, astral slide, the 5 cycle lands, and Cabal Therapy.

COINCIDENCE?! Yes. Yes it is.
Thank you, you made me laugh. You think in a format where R&D thinks ponder and preordain are too powerful and need bannings, they are going to reprint Brainstorm? LMAO!!:D
Shocks reeeally seem like a no-brainer, but I've heard compelling arguments on both sides. Either way, you're not going to get all of them in the first set. A Bob-esque print would make sense, but I don't see a reprint happening. Maybe something like Phyrexian Arena on a stick for 4. Or Bob's big brother, Unplayabob.
Bouncelands won't come back, since a) Wizards didn't like their effect on Limited, and b) the guilds don't exist anymore so you wouldn't be able to keep the names.
Shocks seem likely; assuming nothing like the 4/3/3 model happens I'd expect the allied ones in the first set and the enemy ones in the second or third.

When you peer long enough through the depths, the depths peer also through you.
I really don't want to shell out $400 dollars to get goyfs for Jund. Seriously, this is all I need to finish Jund, and that's just way out of reach even compared to next most expensive thing in modern: a playset of bobs which is worth about $180 right now. The fact that tarmogoyf is worth far more than anything else in modern, and even most of the cards in legacy, is just outrageous IMO. It's not broken, it's just very good, and it should get a reprint. /rant
In the meantime, I'll cross my fingers as well as I continue to use blightning and less-than-amazing 3 cmc creatures in Jund to replace the goyf slot.
Glad they're really bringing out modern as a format with the GP's.
Secondly, though I hope they do, I doubt they'll reprint the shockland. I know some of you guys are hoping this to make them easier to acquire, but currently, the shockland really isn't too bad to acquire as far as price and availability go. IMO, I think they'll just do the enemy fast lands in contrast to the friendly-colored fast land from scars. This would disappoint me, but that's my best guess as to what they'll do.
As far as bob, I also don't think WotC will reprint him because he's a player rewards card, and like all of the player rewards cards (snapcaster mage, etc.), they don't get reprinted as far as I know...but I guess wizards has never said they wouldn't reprint them, so who knows. All I know is that if he does, I'll be a bit upset that I'd be out about $60 dollars seeing that I own a playset and if he gets reprinted, the price will drop about $15 bucks a piece to $30 dollars as opposed to $45. Same with the shockland to a lesser extent. And even more so to those who own goyfs if he gets reprinted. All part of the game I guess =/

Somebody already sort of made this thread, so I'll say what I said in the other thread:

Jon Finkel, Kai Budde, Darwin Caste, Chris Pikula, and Jens Thoren's invitational cards have all been reprinted.

Well, Innistrad (the last big fall set) was 264 cards so really it's only an extra 10 cards difference. Doubt we'll see both Shocks and Bouncelands.
Still, it's exciting that the Pro Tour will be Modern again. I hope Wizards keep supporting it as a format. It's really a lot of fun...

But if they added a sixth color, there would be 15 of each!

I do think there might be some sweet Modern cards in there. Maybe Allied shocks in M13, and enemies in Rav block?

Oh. I was told otherwise by a more experienced player. I'm only familiar with bob and snapcaster mage. Just wondering: what cards are those?

Neat, thanks for the quick reply. I had completely forgotten that sad robot was also one of these cards. I guess bob is definitely a possibility.
Also, are there any more of these cards? Isn't fulminator mage a invitational rewards card?
