Is zoo good anymore? What are some quintessential cards needed to build a competitive zoo deck now that Wild Nacatl is not available to play? What about this Vexing Devil guy? Can he be the new one drop?

I think most players would call Zoo a Tier 1.5 deck. It's still got strength without Nactal, and the gameplan hasn't changed for it - cheap, efficient creatures built around an efficient manabase; removal that can stop creatures or go to the dome, generally. The subforum has plenty of current primers with common cards for the archetype. Outshined a little in the aggro category since the banning of Nactal - Affinity and Jund are both usually more reliable? Usually? Though not by much.

This is why I started playing magic in the first place. It wasn't PT aspirations just making noobs cry by doing things that are perfectly fair.

What about TRON?

I, personally, like Tron, and it seems like a strong mana shell driven by Exploration Map and Ancient Stirrings can get into a lot of quick colorless plays with lots of explosive power - Eye of Eldrazi into Emrakul, Mindslaver, or Karn Liberated. Seems like a rich archetype. (I haven't piloted a Tron deck since burn in, like, Unlimited, so this is my view as an outsider.)
Depending on your meta, I'd guess the non-basic hate is skewed one way or the other: people who are still afraid of Zoo, or your meta is familiar with Tron; or people think the Zoo-geyman is dead and might not be as afraid of a decent non-basic mana base? Tron seems well poised, but again, I'm not first-hand familiar with it.
