Am I the only one bothered by the fact that people call it "aggro loam" despite it not really being an aggro deck and the fact that it isn't aggressive at all?

I'm not sure what this has to do with affinity, but as far as my play group is concerned there is more than one way to play loam. The aggro version (countryside) and the control version (seismic)

I've seen the "crusher" version. Its not really aggro either considering it only plays 12 creatures (Goyf, Confidant, Crusher) with 0 one drops. Even that version is mid range build.
By the "affinity" problem I mean the fact that its called affinity despite the fact that the deck runs little (and sometimes no) cards with affinity on them. the fact that affinity is kind of a misnomer despite its historical accuracy. Calling it "aggro loam" is a misnomer.

Traditionally, Loam decks are long-run based and grindy. "Aggro" Loam is aggressive relative to other loam decks in the format. It's an axis, and the name fits here.
It's just a name. Some names are obviously better than others, but as long as people know what you are talking about when you say it, it doesn't matter what it's called. Regarding the fact that a deck can be named "Affinity" and not have a single card with Affinity on it doesn't matter. People will recognize the name and instantly be aware of most of the cards in the deck and the style of play it uses. Neither of these situations is the first time and older deck name has just been carried over to a newer version of the deck. Consider "junk" or "the rock." Neither is playing the original cards that earned them their monikers, though someone could instantly tell you their colors, playstyles, and even name a number of the cards being played in them if given the format. Anyway, my point is that it's not a big deal to keep the old name, and in some ways it might be more confusing to come up with something new.

I'd prefer it be called Assault Loam; as the Primer on here is; it's hardly aggro, it's a Midrange deck filled with incremental advantage and a sturdy win-con. I'm not sure why anyone refers to it as Aggro Loam anymore; ircc LSV even calls the Modern iteration of it 'Assault Loam'.
And as for the Affinity naming problem; some lists still play Frogmite, afaik. So i mean, you could try and change the name to MUD Stompy but, typically Affinity means 'Tiny Robots assaulting you with Cranial Plating', and MUD Refers to 'big robots'.

Is not "aggro" (aggresive) at all. For reference:
