I agree that Descendants' Path (this is only a translated title from the French, so it may be wrong, but I think "Chemin des descendants" implies descendants in the plural) may see play in Shamans. I'm a little sick of Leaf-Crowned Shaman being 4 cmc, anyway. The thing is, will it see play over Lead the Stampede, a card with similar creature card density restrictions but no tribal restrictions? It might, it might not.
In the meantime, I see no reasons why Elves should play Descendants' Path. All you're topdecking is one mana dork a turn. Elves needs the explosive-ness of Lead the Stampede.

Descendants' Path helps more in the long-game, helps vs mass removal, plus it makes your guys free. Oh yeah, the best part? Otherwise, put it at the bottom of your library. This is card advantage and card quality in one.
Plus, Shamanism runs Flamekin Harbinger, so you can run a singleton of a huge Elemental (probably something with at least 5 CMC), use Harbinger to stack it on top then it gets cast for free. Shamanism may need to adjust the build a little to get the most of this card (perhaps adding in some more control elements to help the weaker matchups).
I can see Harvester of Souls in Death Cloud. Dude's a beast...might be too expensive and lack board impact, but he gives it great card drawing through the deaths of late Steves, Finks, and anything that's around when Cloud resolves.

Also, consider that Liliana counts as occasional mana denial, and it starts to become a significant portion of our strategy.
descendants path is awful in tron. to cast an eldrazi, it requires that you have a creature that shares a type with an eldrazi. it means that you have to put mutavault.
I see path as a build around card. Some tribe + Changling Spells + Mutavault makes it very easy to abuse for advantage.
This is like comparing grapefruit to oranges, they are similar but different enough to make a difference. The problem with brow beat is that its 3 mana on top of the opponent being able to choose. Plus if you draw three cards that doesn't exactly speed up how much damage you're doing. It sets you up for next turn, but slows you down the turn you cast it. The big difference is....
1) Devil fits the curve better.
2) No matter which they choose they are getting hit for 4 now, or a recurring 4 damage on all subsequent turns as long as he lives.
I see your point. I guess I'm a little hesitant about Browbeat-type mechanics. It just seems that Vexing Devil would attract a lot of removal, but so does Goblin Guide in that case...so I can see why Vexing Devil would be played.
Tamiyo's +1 is better than Ajani's +1. Assuming you're against a deck that cheats in Emrakul and didn't cast her, she actively taps down Emrakul forever!
Your opponent also gets zero opportunity to tutor for creatures with a (previously) untapped Birthing Pod, is stuck with an iced, newly played Goyf, and she doesn't necessarily need to take any hits from a Creeping Tar Pit to stop it from swinging.
I'm not sure how often I'll get to use her -2, though (for starters, W/x Tokens just stares and laughs with its Intangible Virtue and its critical mass of walker-murdering fliers), but at least her ultimate is practically game over (Got counterspells or removal in hand? They'll never get through that stuff).
Sadly, that 5 cmc is probably what will kill her. I tried Gideon in a BWR Superfriends deck and he was the worst walker in the list. (Predictably, Liliana 2.0 was the best walker in the list.) Gideon is too slow for Modern at the moment, and I highly suspect any released 5 cmc walker that's not colourless (I hear Turn 3 Karns are actually playable) will share his fate.
I'm going to try to play Tamiyo but I know she will not pan out.
She'll probably be not much more than a sorcery-speed draw two.
Sigh. Why did they give her Ajani's +1..
I think she would be good alongside Ajani in the White based control decks. There's already a version running around that runs blue and red for Ajani and Venser. Obviously she wouldn't be a 4-of, but seems pretty good nonetheless, especially that ultimate.

Descendant's path seems like a shoe-in for GW Trap.
Drop path t2 off hierarch, with mutavault in play, then play congregation at dawn for Knight of the Reliquary, Emrakul, or whatever other Human / beater you want to cheat in for free.
Also allows you to play GW human aggro w/ Thalia pretty effectively in the same deck.

I think in a conscription shell the UW Angel would be sweet as a one-of in case you run out of gas / don't have a sovereign.
and UWR wildfire sounds like a neat deck, honestly.
I've tried it before, and while I didn't have Tamiyo in the 5-slot, the problem with Wildfire is that you can't really use Path to Exile (since giving them extra land is bad) and playing against Tarmogoyf is really hard (since Lightning Helix and Wildfire can rarely kill it)

well, if they have 2 land out; that's not too big of a deal considering they'd be tapped down; and I think the point of Wildfire decks is so basically crush their board advantage by having Planeswalkers up, while they don't; Goyf won't survive a Wildfire + Ajani Helix;
If you're incredibly worried about it; i could see putting in a Trinket Mage package with EE/Needle/Relic at the very least into the SB; Also lots of decks that run goyf MAY be out of basic lands in their deck post wildfire. (Jund and Loam); Or you can just tap him down with Tamiyo and Ajani.
As always, the primary limiting factor in a card's playability is the mana cost. Vexing Devil is certainly playable, descendants' path and the angels, not so much. Descendants' Path might find a home in some sort of RG ramp list trying to cheat eldrazi with through the breach, summoning trap, and the enchantment, but seems rather risky without library manipulation.
3 Tibalt
2 Liliana of the Veil
4 Bloodghast
4 Gravecrawler
4 Lightning Bolt
does this have potential?
Skip the creatures. Tibalt is solid for Modern Seismic Loam though. Hard to say what gets cut, but I would assume countryside crusher, since the deck wants to blank removal as much as possible.
Zoo seems extremely fun with the Vexing Devil, though I can see RUG Delver making better use of him.
I feel Restoration Angel will be a very good modern card. The idea of getting another flash guy that can pack a punch as well as blinking cards like vendilion clique, snapcaster mage and any creature taken with shackles has me very excited.

I agree that Tibalt is quite playable in Aggro Loam/Loam Control. I'm tempted to put him in the Faithless Looting slot, though--he does nearly the same thing.
I cannot see RUG Tempo Thresh getting any good use out of Vexing Devil. In Legacy, I got my Delver Snuff Outed and my Goyf imprisoned in hand when I played Tempo Thresh against Team America. I lost that game. Team America was clearly willing to pay 4 life and a card to stop Delver. Vexing Devil hands out Snuff Outs/cheaper Dismembers like candy. Since RUG Tempo Thresh is threat-light, I bet a ton of decks would be willing to pay the 4 life to kill it immediately. Mondo-Lava Spike is not what RUG Tempo Thresh needs.
EDIT: I tested Tibalt in Loam Control, and his -4 and -6 look fairly useless in a deck that revolves around killing all the men on the other side and shredding their hand into nothing. I suspect he'll look better against decks like Tron and Bant that play bigger men, but if your meta is weenie-oriented enough, stick to Faithless Looting instead. It's cheaper and does the job faster and better than him fairly often.

What about using Condemn? Not very versed in WRUWildfire, but it seems like it could work?

Might be better as a SB addition to that deck.

That's Legacy though, which is a completely different format than Modern. The RUG deck in Modern could use a little help, as honestly it's not that good of a deck. It's certainly fun to play though.
Not many people are running Dismember in Modern, because the life loss of the shocks and everything else sort of makes it risky. If they want to take 4 life to kill my turn one play that only cost me 1cmc that's more efficient that a Lightning Bolt, and honestly that's hard to do considering Lightning Bolt is often regarded as the most efficient spell of all time and it only does 3. I will gladly take all of the copies of Vexing Devil that you do not want though. I have several decks I want to use him in

I was thinking he's probably better as SB fodder. I haven't seen what those decks are boarding recently, but I can imagine that they probably have a few flex slots that could be filled up with better stuff.

Leaf-Crowned Elder, actually. Yeah, Shamans seems like a solid deck for it. Gilt-leaf Seer and shuffles can keep your topdeck looking good.

This card is Leaf-Crowned Elder and Darksteel Pendant in one card, at 3 CMC.
It's an updated version of Brawl into an epic, new game.
