Hi, I'm looking for an efficient creature that acts as some kind of removal as it enters the battlefield. Kind of something cheaper and more splashable than Nekrataal but more powerful than Sparkmage Apprentice
Is there such a creature in modern? something like Fire Imp would fill my needs...
Something that can manage killing a 2 toughness creature, but doesn't cost more than 3 mana?? planning on using it with Crystal Shard, it's the idea
Fiend Hunter can only snipe one creature at a time, and returns creatures if it leaves the battlefield, but if you bounce it with the ETB trigger on the stack, you can snipe creatures forever.
Thanks!! thought of it but I didn't realize it's interaction with Crystal Shard.
I guess it's a good option.
I've just looked up all modern creatures with "enters the battlefield" triggers, and they aren't a lot that can fit this role. The thing with Shriekmaw is that Aether vialing it requires a lot of charge counters, but I guess I can do with sorcery speed removal...
if you're going to use crystal shard, then you'll probably want mulldrifter as a few of, in those colors. That said, if you want exile shenanigans, well, then there's also faceless butcher, which had the "exile creature battlefield" effect long before white did. admittedly, it's BB instead of B1.
There is also fleshbag marauder, which is just mean with a shard down. make sure to stack the effects properly, of course.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Why are you playing UG? Green is a horrible color for the type of effect you seek. You should definitely switch to some form of UW, looking at the Death and Taxes primer for inspiration.

When is it not better to have sower? the only downside sower has to dungeon geist is one less power and toughness. in almost every situation, it is better to control the creature than to just negate it. i've very often said dungeon geist is a worse sower. but even then, it is very good.

Eventhough, with Vial that can work too... I'll proxy that too

Credit to DolZero for this awesome sig!
I´ll think about mulldrifter, yet the deck has already a lot of card draw
Thanks for the reply!!

Viridian Shaman combines well with Liquimetal Coating. If you're doing it right, you can even make a pretty good land destruction deck out of Liquimetal Coating and artifact removal.
On phasing:
Shriekmaw and Fleshback Marauder are the only realistic options. I personally would go with Shriekmaw because it dodges IOK and is very versatile.
Draft My Cube!
Hoping for a cure, or at least an outbreak.
Level 1 Judge (yay)
BRG Loam Control (Assault - Loam) BRG
W Mono White Control (Martyr - Proc) W
Because... I want too??
Green has a lot of great ETB effects, Eternal Witness, Coiling Oracle, Mystic Snake and some more. Thanks for the replies, I think I´ll splash white in the long term because Ghostway and Restoration Angel are excellent on this deck..
So I guess I´ll play fiend hunter. another option I´ve seen are Dungeon Geists, they seem pretty good, plus they are pretty hard beaters
sower of temptation
some may say better, some may say worse... it depends on what you are looking for, though.

You tap him and with the ability on the stack, you bounce him. Just like you do in legacy with Karakas.
you mean apart from the fact the OP has clearly stated multiple times that his playing UG and wants to avoid double offcolor costs?
