Didn't mean to keep all slow hand...but prefer having 3-4 1 or 2 drops than 4 lands, ranger of eos and proclamation...I think the only thing you need absolutely is one the Soul Sister...all other cards can be drawn later...low lands don't always mean slow hand...less lands more creatures...
Hey guys, it seems my LGS is mainly playing modern now. We run both a standard and a modern tourney but we barely get 8 people to play a standard tourney where as modern has 20+. So instead of investing in my standard deck, I would like to take a shot at modern and play with the larger crowd.
I'm wiling to play any type of deck, but would probably enjoy the more aggressive deck. I have about a $200 budget. I've been trying to look up decks that do well but most of the ones I've seen have been $500 or more. I know these posts get old, and I have tried searching around here but not too much luck. Any ideas what would be a fun competitive deck for $200 or less?
I've been refered to this link by MiniLuv yesterday, http://www.mtgo-stats.com/stats/modern (for MTGO) to see which cheap decks are doing well online, you can than extrapolate the price based on those online price.
Soul Sisters is really cheap, but it don't make unanimity weither it is competitive or not...
Affinity is also cheap and aggresive...there some different build available...the one splashing red seems the stronger, I prefer to use the mono black version...
I've been playing a deck that is off the radar and does pretty well against most of the meta. It's a mono red deck that utilizes Blood Moon to lock your opponent's mana base and then finishes with Demigod of Revenge, Koth of the Hammer or Banefire.
I started a thread when I first started building the deck called [development] Moon.dek (you can just click the link for easy access). My most recent build is on the 3rd page.
The mana base is all mountains and the deck lists for about $130 on Tappedout.net
