At the present time, are you more concerned with winning or having fun? Not that Splinter Twin isn't fun to play, but it is very expected, so you're going to be going against hate everywhere you turn. Even with that, though, you'll still probably win more than you would with turbo fog. Splinter twin is that good, thus the hate. Playing a rogue deck makes every match fun, just seeing how your opponent reacts. (My opinion, of course. Do what you want to do in the end).
Splinter Twin is going to get you more wins. If wins are what you are concerned with, thats the way to go.
As for the hate, a well tuned and well played twin list can often just win around the hate. One counterspell or one kill spell from your opponent is usually very easy to get around. And if they are holding back any more than that, they are just giving you all the time in the world. It takes sideboard level hate to really even dent your plan, and you should be able to come up with a counter to that hate.

I support WotC's goal of shaping Modern in favor of diversity.
I ran a thought experiment on my blog Modern in a Nuclear Wasteland
of an extreme case of banning 20 more cards to make sure they get everything, then scaling back where appropriate. WotC seems to be on a slowly build up approach. Both ways probably reach similar end points.
The post Gatecrash metagame is proving to be closer to the endpoint than I estimated, so its very possible that few (if any) more cards need to be banned.
Twin has hate against it for a reason: it's good. Don't play rogue (not rouge, why people spell it badly all the time?) if you can play twin or other tier1 deck(s).
Not to derail your thread too much, but would anyone have an opinion on what tempo deck would be considered top? I have a lot of pieces (snappy and geist) carried over from standard and was wondering whether uwr delcver would be considered competitive enough to invest it.

This is what I did we have several qualifiers coming up for Grand Prix Columbus in July. So I built UWR Delver This will be my Modern deck until I can pull enough resources to build Jund.

If you like combo I'd highly reccomend going with Kiki jiki, once you have the UR manabase making other forms of UR combo (like storm) is really easy and cheap.
Also Kiki jiki is a much better deck if you plan on playing in bigger tournaments.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

I'm thinking about getting into modern, but first I'm narrowing down what I want to play. I have it down to two choices:
Choice 1: Splinter Twin combo.
Pros: Teir, consistant, and I can do my favorite thing (Namely, play bloodmoon and laugh.)
Cons: Expected, hate abounds.
Choice 2: Turbofog
Pros: Unexpected, fairly well positioned, rouge, cheaper.
Cons: Not being played for some reason, has issues winning at times.
I have semi-tuned lists for each (Going to tune hard on ML before buying IRL), and so I was wondering what people recommend.
Thanks
