Unfortunately no, the deck loses Tabernacle, Chasm, Manabond, Exploration, Mox Diamond, Wasteland, and Port
You can still build a Loam based deck in Modern, but there aren't enough control lands for Lands to be viable
Yeah, Loam/seismic assault is about the closest thing. There are some good control-ish land cards available, but not really enough strong ones to make a deck around them...at least as far as I'm concerned.
The land-destruction options in Modern are also quite a bit weaker than in Legacy--the deck would be very difficult to stop, if it existed.
Keep in mind stuff like wasteland is actually really bad vs. lands in legacy. You really don't want land destruction against it.
EDIT: Well, that's not to say wasteland is horrible vs. lands; it doesn't really help them out any, but it certainly doesn't help you out either (much).
The real barrier to a lands deck in Modern is the lack of ways to get more than 1 into play per turn in the early game. There's Explore at 2 mana, and that's it. There's Azusa at 3 mana, which will allow you to play 2 more lands before they can kill it (on the turn you cast it) but by then your opponent has likely established their game plan.
Another stopper for lands is that most of the lands that you would use to win the game or stop them from winning either come in tapped (the good "man-lands") or cost a lot to use (Mouth of Ronom).
In my opinion this is good, though, because Legacy Lands notoriously goes to the time limit in most matches, and even if you don't make any mistakes, you are likely to get plenty of draws in a tournament.

When I play with my DnT deck against Lands, I wouldn't want to miss Wasteland. It saved me several times because I wasted his Maze of Ith and then could atack with my creatre with a Sword of Fire and Ice equipped. The only problem with Wasteland against Lands is that it isn't a basic land and therefore the enemy can waste it and recur his Wasteland with Life from the Loam. So keeping a hand that is dependent on the mana from Wasteland is quiet a gamble.
That you're able to actually attack a Lands deck says that the Lands player is not playing the optimal configuration and relying on Maze way too much. Against any Vial deck or low mana deck like D&T Tabernacle and Ensnaring Bridge are usually the first ones they go for.

I realise we are missing a lot of the powerful lands that Legacy can use, but I wonder it a similar version is portable into Modern?
