UR Pyromancer Storm seems the best. It's a very good deck, and it has good consistency. According to a friend that plays it competitively, he claims you never have to go past turn 4. As much of a problem as Thalia is, you can Grapeshot her for 1 if you have to. With Twin, right now, a lot of people are playing Kiki-Pod. Since it's using Kiki-Jiki to win off infinite tokens, the cards that deck hates (Celestial Purge, Echoing Truth, Ghostly Prison, etc) are more rampant in boards now. That deck hurt Twin in the process just because of it being the flavor right now.
Also, as you realized, Storm into Pod isn't expensive. My friend bought it and it cost him, what, an extra 30 bucks or so, not even, since he's only running one Kiki. As nice as it is, it's not the best sideboard tactic. It certainly has its ups, but it has its downsides as well.
If you lose G1, winning G3 will be a problem. They will see what you're doing when you win G2, and board better. They'll leave in Kiki answers and Storm answers, and you'll have to decide which tactic seems better. And then there are cards like Celestial Purge that just beat either deck. At least with Storm hate, you know EXACTLY what's coming and how to board for it, so you never get surprised or anything like that.
Isn't Martyr Proc good against Splinter Twin? You have Auriok Champion, so they can not only Bolt it, but can't kill you from the infinite copies. You also get to put cards like Ghostly Prison in your sideboard, they'll do a lot of work if that matchup is bad. I don't see how it is. It's bad against other decks though, it's a little clunky against aggro matchups.
depending on what variation of proc you're running. if you're running the soul sister's variant, you have a decent time against it because you'll out gain the damage they'll do. if you're running the slower, more controlling version, you're going to have ghostly prison main board anyways, and maybe even hand disruption if your splashing black. going into an unknown meta, i'd probably take proc, just because it wins against any deck that runs creatures that aren't emrakul.

Game one, no. Unless you're maindecking Ghostly Prison, which you may still not see if they win turn 4 (Martyr only has natural-draw, no fetch for the Prison). If you heavily-SB against combo (which is Martyr's worst matchup), then games 2 and 3 become a fair fight.
I've been playing Martyr since December, and my best friend has been playing Twin since January, so it's my most-tested match-up. I would say game 1 is 30/70, and games 2-3 is 50/50.
Aggro is our best match-up... I'll gladly play RDW, Boros, Goblins, Jund, and Zoo anyday. The only bad aggro match-up is Affinity.
Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
THIS 100X!!! If you don't agree with this then there is no amount of logic that will ever convince you that good, non-oppressive, combos should be allowed. If you don't agree with it then just don't play this game, and you certainly shouldn't feel entitled to make any comment on ban lists ever.
