Each weekday I'll be uploading a random modern card for discussion. Sometimes they will be playable, other times they may not be so playable. This series will go on for an unspecified period of time. Without further ado:

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
Also great at setting up flips for Delver or finding fetchlands to pump Steppe Lynx in the URw Tempo Delver lists that are a mainstay of the American and online metagame right now.
I think it could be used along side lighting helix simply because you could always get mana screwed into only red and need the answer. Plus the manipulation is nice. I like the card a mini bolt plus you get look and such. Also if you use it and happen to have a fetch in play you can make sure you don't pop fetch early and lose a great top deck
I can't believe this thing is going for $3.38 (TCGPlayer mid).
Anyway, if you play blue or white you won't need this; blue has enough cantrips and white has Lightning Helix.
It only sees play in red aggro decks with minimal card manipulation.
This can be good in American delver and is run as a 1 or 2 of in many lists. Although you could make the case that american delver is sort of an aggro deck compared to RUG delver.
seems best suited to WUR Delver and Burn lists. Sometimes you want that fetchland on top, when you've got 2 kitty cats on the board that wanna go 'n play. Other times you just want to bottom those lands/dead cards and live off a new topdeck.
I run a couple in both RDW and RUG Delver Tempo, they do their job decently. Would probably replace it with straight Ponder/Preordain in Delver if they weren't banned.

In response to your Lightning Blast, I'll eat this burrito.

This is why I started playing magic in the first place. It wasn't PT aspirations just making noobs cry by doing things that are perfectly fair.
I play it as a 4-of in burn. It's good if you run miracles.
I've tried it in URb Delver. It can flip delver consistently, but it's not powerful enough for the mana in that deck.
If I played an aggro deck with no control elements I'd play magma jet.
Unless you want to play inferior 3 mana for 4 damage and a minor upside, burn does need gimmicks. There are 8 creature slots, which leaves 12 to experiment with. Jet in the upkeep, twrath in the draw is 7 damage for 3 mana.
Jet on its own is good enough to guarantee inclusion.
Thunderous Wrath is dead except on the exact moment you draw it. Increasing Vengeance is dead in less cases - only when you have no other burn spells in hand, or not enough mana to cast burn + copy. Plus, you can get a second (and third) use out of it for approximately as much mana as a hardcasted Wrath.
I like it personally; Scry is a fantastic mechanic but there aren't a lot of useful cards that are worth running to get it, so this stands out to me as being one of a few that is.
I could see this being useful in Pyro Ascension decks since you can get to cards that already have copies in your graveyard.

Speculate less. Test more.

FREE BLOODBRAID ELF
Anyway, all-star card in RDW/Sligh decks, and solid in other red-based aggressive decks as well.

Certainly possible; same is true if you're trying to dig down to a Bonfire.
Burn also empties its hand quickly, so sometimes you need to filter top deck dead draws like land to squeeze out a win.
