On the other hand, Restricted Modern breaks one Dread Return pretty easily. You wouldn't believe how many Game 1 wins I got out of the blue against BW Tokens and Affinity with Skullclamp(!) because raising Flame-Kin Zealot with Bridge from Below backup (you need 2+ in the yard to get the kill) works. And Clamp exiles Bridges in its sleep.
In the meantime, Clamp kills control completely dead and turns Combo Elves into a monster, so no, I do not want that card unbanned, even in restricted form. It was one of the easiest cards to break in Restricted Modern (Steelshaper's Gift breaks it wide open, although SFM and Trinket Mage did their jobs).
Ah, yes. Skullclamp: the single most broken card of the new millenium. Fond memories of 2004, my first year of Magic.:p If I recall that was the fastest (non-emergency) banning I know of. To speak of unbanning it would be most unwise.
Edit: Oops. Realized that discussion was centered around SFM. SFM will never be unbanned. If people want a SFM-esque effect then use steelshaper's gift or use the original SFM: Stonehewer Giant.
