I messed around with it when trying Mono-Black midrange infect. The deck as a whole wasn't that good, but I learnt that this plus Black Sun Zenith is actually a thing.

Thanks for the Sig! SpiderBoy4 at [High~Light Studios]
There must be a way to use this card. Anyone have any ideas or is it not worth building around?
Personally I was thinking of a Mono Black deck with Fume spitters and plenty of other wither effects to just steal all of your opponents creatures.
Black Sun's Zenith can make this Nastay! I have never bothered to try it in Modern, but I had a casual deck that used the combo. It could be really fun in a BG control deck that runs Melira, Sylvok Outcast. You could even run the combo (in small nuimbners) as a plan-B win. Hmmmm, brb [woosh!]

One of the problems with this type of deck is that it will simply fold to combo decks, like Storm. They will not have creatures in play for you to hit, and this type of deck will cease to function. The deck could have potential, but I think the meta isn't at a place where this deck will work well enough.
Also, to whomever built the test deck, you're going to want Fume Spitters. It'll kill a lot of things at instant speed.
Necroskitter is a really cool card. It survives the bolt test and has great synergy with BSZ and cards like Skinrender.
HOWEVER; if you want a competitive deck you may want to keep 3 drops that have no immediate impact on the board and can be ignored like they aren't there out of your deck.
Sure has awesome art work, though.

Mhjames: mtgsalvation: I DON'T SEE HOW THIS CARD IS GOOD. I KNOW PATRICK CHAPIN USED IT AND WENT 8-0, BUT THAT WAS A SMALL TOURNAMENT. THE CARD IS TOO SLOW. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THE OPPONENT HAS A SPELL IN THE GRAVEYARD

Probably not, but then that is why I put the Melira combo as a Plan-B. You could even make the SB transform it in to a more focused podless Melira combo deck.

Worth a look.
Necroskitter may do nothing when it is dropped, but it is big enough that it can chump block most non-fliers in the format, so there is that at least.
Just made some substitutions, Necro-Skitter just makes some cards like Black Sun Zenith have extra value.

Storm decks can be summed up to this:
We cast spells to make mana to cast spells, then we use the mana for draw spells, so we can cast those spells to draw more spells or make more mana to cast more spells. Somewhere in this quagmire... we win or lose instantly, usually this is when we stop digging.
Paired with melira, this is some serious and RECURSIVE creature whipping. When the board's clear, place the Oil on one of your creatures and infect slam them to death.
I have tested these cards. If you want a nasty combo to go with necroskitter, arcbond and Pariahs shield.
Arcbond will create a continuous damage chain while pariah's Shield protects your life. Basically I used cards like electrickery and inflame to manage creatures until I can get the arcbond and pariah out to win the game.

1. Three terrible card combo that needs a fourth to trigger.
2. Necro post.

Dusk Urchins, however, does not work with Melira, so I would not put the two in a deck together. I also feel like Urchins does not help soon enough.

I've been thinking this card could be used in Modern anyway, seems like a good place to try it
