I saw a list using Koth as a win con through fireball type cards.
This is my take on the deck, and it's a VERY rough start. I just wanted a list to begin with then hammer out kinks. I know it's going to be very bad against any form of combo, which is where I come to you guys. I haven't even bothered on a sideboard yet because if the list is unworkable, why put that much more thought?
I know it does not fit the 'be winning by T4' idea of Modern, but it can carry much of the game's advantage by then with T1 Inquisition, T2 Loot and Bolt, T3 EoT Fallout T4 Koth+untap for bolt.
Volcanic Fallout instant speed, uncounterable(does that often matter?), wipe that hits the vast majority of jund and affinity lists.
Sorcerys:
Arc Trail really iffy on this, kind of prefer Searing Blaze since I often hit a creature and player, and blaze does that better.
Blightning it's disruptive burn, works at killing their hand alongside the neck card.
Inquisition of Kozilek powerful hand disruption. Would run seize if it weren't on such a big price tag.
Faithless Looting easy to see why NOT to run it, but it's useful for how I intended the deck. Cast it T1 to ditch and phoenixs, demigods, other lootings, or devil's play from your opener to let in other cards that don't like the grave.
Pillar of Flame because I couldn't think of something else against persist and such off the top of my head.
Creatures:
Chandra's Phoenix recurring threat, can be ditched while looting, and puts pressure on opponents.
Demigod of Revenge half of the deck's namesake. Ditch them to all of your looting then cast one mid-late game for that powerfully huge burst.
Planeswalkers:
Koth of the Hammer for pumping up your fireball effect, which I intend to have either more of mb or side for whatever MUs I may face. He allows you to untap a land to bolt things the turn he lands, or to use as that 4/4 rock-hammer.
Hmm interesting list but i must say i dont like pillar or arc trail they just simply dont do enough in modern i mean granted pillar deals with finks but i still think there are better alternatives
I think a list using Liliana of the Veil, Bloodghast and some discard like Funeral Charm could work with the option of ditching bloodghasts and demigods into the grave only to recur them the next turn and swing for big numbers. Saying that though, it sounds like the beginnings of a pox list.
