I have a relatively solid red/black deck i play with. it has seemed to fair well against my local FNM players. But im looking to make some teawks to it , so i was just wondering what type of decks do some of yall run and what kind of cards are some good cards to maybe take a look at.
If you are staying with BR, then try this:
-Cut the Guildgates and Carnariums; they slow you down and you don't need that kind of fixing. Swap for 4x Dragonskull Summit and maybe 4x Blackcleave Cliffs
-There is a discussion between Dreadbore and Terminate. I like Terminate better because it's instant speed and the planeswalker kill isn't as big a thing, at least in my local meta
-I'm not a fan of the Fire in Modern. If you want the exile effect, I'd go with Pillar of Flame instead. Otherwise, pick a cheaper 3 damage spell like Lightning Bolt for starters
-My feelings are the same for Murder as with the Fire. I like Go for the Throat or Ultimate Price in it's place
-Bump in the Night is a solid card for this kind of BR deck
-The Zealot is better as a sideboard card rather than main board. Unless you knew that you would be facing a ton of 'cast from the grave' decks, replace it with something with more utility. There are so many options, though, I don't know what to suggest. Deathrite Shaman is pretty popular, though
-Chandra is a slower than you may want; I recommend Liliana of the Veil in her place
-The Reaper is a decent body, but it'll be hard to get a ton of utility out of his ability. I'll say Desecration Demon in place of the Reaper; similar body, but he's cheaper and can remove some of the opponents creatures in the meantime
-The Cackler and the Freak can always be replaced with something with a little more going on ability-wise. However, if you are going for fast and early damage and wish to keep them, I will recommend the addition of Rakdos, Lord of Riots if you want something from Standard to add into Modern
If you want to understand hat decks are competitive in modern look through the proven sub forum.
If you want to ask what decks should/shouldn't you play then there is a what deck should I play thread stickied in the general section.(please look at the original post and follow the directions)
Also i kinda want to tell you that your deck needs a lot of help as far as being competitive against well anything. It looks like a standard deck almost.

"And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter."
I kind of assumed that that was his main card pool to draw from, so I went with similar suggestions. Might not have been 'the best', but it gets him in the right direction.
OP: Swap 4 Annihilating Fires for 4 Lightning Bolts. A 300% mana increase isn't worth being able to take out Finks and Messenger. If you wanna do that, sideboard Pillar of Flame.

That's a good start
