So I know the mana in a competetitive tournament modern format rarely reaches what you need to cast Prince of Thralls, but it seems like some combos could be made off of him.
But anything with undying or persist would work. So would Rakdos the Defiler. This combo would wipe the board in seconds. Sticking with the grixis colors, Thraximundar and Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis have some synergy.
Relying heavily on 4+ CMC Enchantments and creatures is likely going to be far too slow. None of the creatures you mentioned have protection, and Grave Pact is dead against most combo decks. Seems like an EDH set-up more than Modern.

And I am sure plety of others would synergize too.
So would it be ok or is it too slow/ineffective to do anything?
Yes, it's way too slow, loses to a removal spell, and requires multiple pieces to assemble a mediocre synergy. For 4(+3) mana, you can kill your opponent on the spot with splinter twin combo, or set up an unburial rites for Iona, Elesh Norn, or some other fat creature. If you're playing against an opponent who plans to do nothing the first 10 turns, then this may be playable, but unfortunately, that isn't the case.

Prince of Thralls and Grave Pact go together beautifully. If you get something like nantuko husk, you are either bleeding life or facing an army.
Pair with reassembling skeleton and you could win not long after turn 8.

So would phyrexian obliterator and phyrexian negator. Obliterator doesn't even need grave pact.
