Which deck uses "5 double-sided tokens"? Could this be a Pod deck? Pod is a deck full of one-of's, seems perfect for an event deck. Also uses lots of tokens.

I've thought this over a little more, and right now I'm not convinced that it will be a pod deck, or any three-color deck at all. Event decks are supposed to be semi-competitive (and I'm using that term loosely, but they are definitely supposed to be much more powerful than your average intro deck). You really can't run any three-color deck on a competitive level without at least a few fetches in there, and I don't believe for a minute that Wizards would reprint enough fetches in this deck to justify a consistent three-color deck.
For my money, I think they're going to go with a Tron deck. It comes in three flavors: Mono-blue, UW and RG. Neither one would require an expensive mana-base to function. The Urza-Tron lands are all worth about a dollar each as-is. This means the bulk of the $75.00 price tag could go toward flashy, marketable bombs in the vein of Karn or Wurmcoil Engine. I could see at least a few of the double-sided tokens being tokens for Wurmcoil. The deck itself is just as iconic as Pod or Twin, but doesn't rely on abstract combos or making an infinite number of creatures, which may be difficult to explain in a strategy insert or be a turn-off to new players trying to get into Modern. Tron gets to make big, flashy plays and the winning strategy can be explained easily in a strategy insert. The concept is more easily marketable ("Uncover Urza's secrets and unleash his ancient machines on your opponent!") than a deck that relies on combos between cards that were never really expected to interact together ("Unleash the might of Kiki-Jiki and... Restoration Angel, I guess."), and it just looks plain cooler on a box.
Personally I'm hoping for something with Goyf. In fact if all it was was a Goyf and 74 basic lands I would consider it a smashing success.
Call me bitter, but I'd be pleased to watch the reaction if Goyf got reprinted--maybe even made the foil at the front of the box! I'm picturing the scene in The Dark Knight where the Joker burns a pile of money because he's the embodiment of chaos and all he wants is to see more of it. Except instead of burning money he's printing foil goyfs and cackling like a madman. And the Joker is really just me after a bad day at the office.
Firstly, I doubt it'd be a combo deck because those aren't the kinds that you can just take into a tournament without knowing how the combo works. Imagine it was Living End. A new player (like, one that has absolutely zero knowledge of Modern) buys the deck and takes it into a tournament right away. He draws his starting hand and sees 4 4+CMC cyclers and 3 lands. "This has got to be a joke, right?"
Secondly, don't even expect it to be a tier deck. Look at any of the Standard Event Decks, for example, the Theros one. UW Heroic. LOL. The Event Deck could very well be, I don't know, mono-white Soldiers or mono-black Vampires.
That said, I do hope that it is at least something playable. In the proud tradition of Standard Event Decks and Premium Deck Series, I'll guess that it's some kind of red aggro deck. Burn, RDW, Goblins, mono-red Affinity...can't go wrong with those.
I'm not sure why everybody is all up in arms about the price. Have you seen the prices for actual competitive Modern decks now a days? If this has anything remotely staple worthy in here it's going to be a bargain compare to what most of us who already have the staples had to do. With a (possible) deal like this, you should be happy. Its not like they are just going to be giving this away for free.
Wouldn't that end up absurdly overpriced, just on the back of the lands alone?
Not if they actually printed enough of it. Tron actually makes sense, and there really is no reason for grove of the burnwillows to be more than 25 bucks. Even if they only included two, and like 1 karn, and 1 emrakul, 1 wurmcoil, the deck would be playable, and mindslavers are pretty cheap to pick up. It would also cause the price of those cards to drop, and if they plan on reprinting the fetchlands en masse then it de-incentivizes them to put any in this product

Yes, 1 or 2 would be fine.
Already having 4, plus Eye of Ugin, plus all 12 Tron lands however, makes me thing there's no way they're including much else good in there, or if they do, it'll be marked up to Commander's arsenal levels.

Collecting Maw of the Mire! Feel free to send me any you have, so long as they're in reasonable condition.
Lol, yall going crazy with these speculations. It is not tron. Why would a tron deck have 5 double sided tokens?
I am 90% sure that this is a splinter twin deck. I can't think of another deck that a double sided token could fit in better. So that means it will have the combo pieces, maybe only one kiki-jiki, a scalding tarn, a steam vents and then some other cards.
This is not how bans/unbans work. Its always the enabler that gets the ban, not the card that is being abused. If you would have Yawgmoths will + whatever cards - it would be Yawgs that would be banned. If you would have Stoneforge and batterskull - it would be stone who would be banned and that is exactly how it works. Furthermore, banning a card in order to unban a different card is a thought process that was and wont be never applied in practical means.
MSRP 75 means the deck is probably worth double or triple. I also expect them to skip out on several cards where necessary.
Twin really does seem like a good choice here. Take a list without Snapcasters and only one Kiki. Substitute some number of Remands for Mana Leaks and similar changes and skimp on some lands (probably a couple shocks but no fetches, no Cascade Bluffs, maybe some Sulfur Falls).
On the other hand, it could be Jund and jump the price from 75 to 1000.
I doubt there will be any high dollar staples in these. A quick look at starter decks and we can see Wotc doesnt like to put high end staples in decks like these. I just hope we get non-foil Urza tron lands...finally.
i doubt there'll be playsets of anything either. a pod list actually makes the most sense. the real question is mythics or no mythics. pod can get away without mythics and is comprised of mostly rares, uncommons, and commons. include a fetch or two and you're set. also, chord of calling needs a reprint badly.

I speak in sarcasm because calling people ******* ******** is not allowed.
Folks, these won't be net-decks. Since wizards is discouraging combo, no way will it be a strict combo deck like splinter twin, hive mind, living end, or scapeshift. In fact, it's unlikely to be a sort-of combo deck like pod, tron, or infect. More likely than anything, it will either be a "budget" version of an established archtype, or something new or fringe that's solid, but not seen everywhere. Whatever it is, it'll be designed to be (for modern, anyway) relatively simple to run, but something with enough variety not to get bored in 5 minutes. This probably means midrange aggro. Agree it will almost certainly be 2 colors.
They'll have some good cards, including a couple 1-of $10-25 staples and several cards in the $2-5 range. It'll have a secondary market value of over $75... Maybe $100 or a little more, but it's not going to be designed to crash the value of anything.
Fetches are unlikely, as they aren't very good as 1-ofs and are not required in 2-color decks. Shocks are possible, but probably only 2 max. Good planeswalkers are extremely likely, as they are often the face of these kinds of products. Maaaaybe even liliana of the veil.
I'm not saying these products will suck (they'll probably be really cool, and will probably bring down the prices of a few randomly overpriced cards, which is good for everyone), but wizards isn't in the business of selling $600 net-decks for $75, because it discourages buying product like MM and it's a slap in the face to dealers who make their living selling singles.
