Quote from ValanarchHe said WB Tokens or Mono-U Tron, not UW Tokens.
Quote from leh1982Yeah, but if you factor in the fact that Canopy was a fairly recent spike and the massive $75 price tag it seems realistic to contain something similar in price. Bear in mind also that Modern Masters, for WotC, was a $168 product that contained a almighty ton of high value cards in it and you have to expect to see some serious value in an event deck that costs well over a third of the price. As WotC don't use secondary market prices, I doubt very much that WotC are looking at secondary market prices for this product. Rather, I hope that they make an amazing deck that gets players enjoying Modern.
Quote from Venomous72Man I have high hopes for this.
I know there won't be anything super ridiculous in this, but I am really hoping for fetches or a Lilly reprint. I would be thrilled with either.
Quote from bocephusIf they were making MM2, I would agree. Is there one pre-constructed deck that was competitive in its said format? From the Legacy ones on MTGO, to the Standard ones, to the EDH ones. Yeah they know how to throw a group of interesting cards into a pile to make people buy them for the most part, but it rarely if ever is because of their playablity.
Quote from TheDasuriIsn't one of the legacy precons basically Death N Taxes? That's still a tier 1 deck in legacy. That's a pretty poor example.
I don't think anyone expects it to be super competitive out of the box, but if its just a few cards away from being competitive, its still a win.
Quote from bocephusI contend the decks wont be playable, even with a few cards added. They will be T2 or worse decks with a pile of money cards in them. Look at the EDH decks, look at the majority of decks they have made.
Quote from MaZaIs this just one deck, or a set of several event decks?
