I think Jund will land itself a top 8, either its a meta thing or players who are on it are becoming 'good' again. 2 twins, 2 pods, 1 affinity--the rest in my mind could be anything.
The only guy I know who is going is playing burn. His list was heavier on creatures and he said he was packing 4 blood moon main deck.
I was originally running a list that had 4 Blood Moon main deck as well... but I was told this was a bad idea as people had learned their lesson and will fetch basics and make sure they have enough for their deck to function under a blood moon.
While I'm not running that list and am playing a different deck, I don't believe what I was told is true. A lot of people still have very greedy mana bases and anyone packing 4 hosers like blood moon main deck will probably get a couple free wins in there.
I was very close to running a Mono Red Control list (Skred Red) with 4 MD Anger of the Gods along with 8 Moon effects because of the number of free wins you get + hosing Zoo. The problem is that you had no answer to Storm Decks. Then they printed EotGR. Your biggest issue is mostly merfolk and Soul Sisters at that point but your MD removal packages should keep your head above water.
Skred Red has a positive affinity matchup which is on the rise but (possibly) folds to a pod deck with a lot of manna critters.
Anyway, I was close to running that list and if I feel confident I might end up running it. Who Knows?!
The issue I've had with Blood Moon in Burn, especially maindeck, is that you're out to get the opponent's life to 0 as rapidly as possible, and Blood Moon is you spending 3 mana on a card that doesn't advance that plan at all.

Exactly. Against some matchups it's great, but against others you've either time-walked yourself (or your opponent, I guess, depending on how you look at it) by casting it or you've drawn a dead card in a deck that wants to draw nothing but gas. That's why it's a sideboard card.
Game 1 blood moon will always catch people off guard unless they are good at modern and can quickly identify it as a blue moon or skred red. Delver has the best chance at taking the suprise, game 1, because its totally doable with the mana and they can just fain normal delver with out any problems.
Game 2 and on, if your at least 50% into modern as your format if you see a mono red mana base, or blue red, you expect blood moon. Its like a virtual guarantee. I, in greedy greedy zoo, crack for a basic forest ALWAYS against blue/red mono red game 1.
Red should be burn, Goblins, Dragons, draw/discard, and Standard-unplayable 5CMC cards with insane, lengthy effects that take 10 minutes to figure out what they do and another 20 to actually make their effects work on the field.
Hey guys! 911 for 4 Scalding Tarn. I could ever work out a trade if someone is interested but just need to borrow them. If not then i'll be buying them at the venue tomorrow.

No since there is no actual event. Friday is only for registration. The first round will start Saturday 9 pm local time.
Are you sure about the 9pm part? Also, are we sure they're doing streaming of this event at all? Official site only has a thing up at the moment for GP Warsaw, but honestly who cares?
