I think that I know the answer to this, but is there any chance that Godsend will see Modern play? (I'm guessing not, but if anyone else thinks differently please convince me otherwise.)

It has the possibility of being in one of the slots that the mirrodin swords, It's got a Sword of Kaldra effect but comes with a Nevermore. Obviously on a creature with vigilance it will shut down combat.

The one main problem is that it has an equip cost of 3.

Not without stoneforge mystic.
Also... With it taking the W slot mythic... we can only assume Ajani is the fabled GW Planeswalker we all hope for.
I can think of 2 easy ways to give Eidolon of Blossoms Shroud/Hexproof. Spirit tribal Aura's anyone? There already are a good number of spirit enchantment creatures. Geist of Saint Traft works well with the strategy, and then there is Tallowisp, who can turn every single spirit card into an Idyllic Tutor. I doubt it could be competitive, but at least it would be a fun kitchen table deck.
Keranos is so good. We should jam him into WUR control because of that Card Advantage!
Where is it. Someone's going to do it.
Keranos looks more like a Cruel Control kind of card, as he runs more at sorcery speed. Not doing anything when he ETB hurts him, but those juicy, juicy triggers--sure, Tamiyo attracts attackers, but she didn't do that well for me in Cruel Control because her abilities pre-ult didn't tend to do enough for me. Keranos looks like he'll benefit Cruel Control more.
...Manlands, generic tokens, and Pod's plentiful 1-ofs block with impunity, though.

I've been testing Dakra Mystic in Merfolk against decks where it has a fair chance of not swinging against (Jund, GW Hatebears, Melira Pod, I should test Twin next), and so far, it's helped me win quite a few more games than it's lost. Most of the time, I swing with it and it looks worse than Cursecatcher, but some of the time, I hit a board stall and I start gambling with its draws. I've probably pitched away more than half the flips, but even pitching away stuff helps me dig for evasion (Islandwalk lord + Spreading Seas, Merrow Reejerey, Coralhelm Commander, effectively Master of Waves or Thassa in Merfolk builds I didn't test Dakra in) and therefore for stall-breaking wins.
...The jury's still out on whether it helps Melira Pod draw into its bombs more often than not, though. (There was one ugly game where Melira Pod ended with the double Persist combo, instigated, I double Vapor Snagged and kept them from fully comboing off--and I drew one of the Snags off Dakra--but they had a Pod and got out Reveillark and I still died.) But if I see Birthing Pod, I sure as heck am not letting them get it. I've generally found losing a significant guy so they can't get a huge trump to be worth it, and I generally ditch a guy if that means they have to ditch instant-speed removal.
The key is that if I think I'm secure (or I need to race combo or heavy control), I swing with Dakra, and if I'm not secure, I'm digging for specific trumps.
The best time to dig with Dakra is at their EOT or my turn so they can't immediately play what I just drew for them.
Against Jund, forcing them to ditch Lilianas (revealed by Courser of Kruphix) that they can cast (and letting them keep Lilianas that they're BB away from casting) has turned out fine, but it might still have let them dig for Anger of the Gods...
...I think Dakra will turn out to be very interesting against Living End. On the one hand, Living End honestly does not care where its (land)cyclers go. On the other hand, I have a vested interest in burying my own creatures, and I'll probably shoot down anything if it means they don't draw a Cascade spell. Here's hoping that games with Dakra don't go on long enough against Living End that they can OHKO instead of 2+HKO with all their dead guys...
Yep, that could be a problem, although if it's in a D&T deck so long as an Aether Vial is out, tapping out to equip might not be so bad.
Many D&T players don't like having equipment in the deck and if you are running equipment I would rather run the swords as the protection and the effects will generally do more for you.

If you have found some success after testing with it for a few hours only a day after being spoiled, you can be sure someone will fill it in a deck somewhere. It's a pretty amazing card that at worst lets both players draw a land (or not draw) and at best, lets you draw something relevant or lets you remove their most relevant spell.
Yep, that could be a problem, although if it's in a D&T deck so long as an Aether Vial is out, tapping out to equip might not be so bad.
Except, D&T runs and wants to keep in play Thalia, making Nodsend a four-drop.
I think it is really funny how the beginning of this thread was dominated by people people comparing the Merfolk to Howling Mine, and then we actually got an "improved" Howling Mine.
I kinda like Iroas at first blush (won an auction for a playset for $2 shipped), and I think that the UR deity could fill a role in a control deck not running white for Revelation. A deck like that need some help with late game fuel and fire, and this serves both function even if it is a really late drop.
Ah I really wish Keranos was 4 mana... I guess it was too pushed then. AS it santds now I realy like him and he's very powerful, but obviously 5 mana is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for Modern and it will see zero play. Oh well !
I'm thinking the draw a card merfolk could be sweet in a miracle deck. With the green spells you can put your miracles on top and then tap this guy to play them at instant speed. Seems legit and only one mana.
Dictate of Kruphix: now THAT is a Howling Mine. More redundancy for Owling Mine and Time Warp never hurts.
Flash means you can hold up counters and still advance your board if they don't present a target. And unlike Jace Beleren, it is totally safe from Bolt.
Keranos: Meh. The type of deck that wants him (UR control) should be splashing for a third color (W or B), where they can find better wincons.
Godsend: Would you play a legendary equipment that cost 1WW + 3 to equip that said "equipped creature gets +3/+3 and is unblockable"? Because that equipment is better than Godsend, and if you won't even play that, why would you play Godsend?
Dictate of Kruphix is the best card today. I like it, it reminds me of Faith's Reward because it's a card that was made for a tier 3 combo deck, and it mimics one of the cards that that deck already plays.
I have to say dictate of kruprix has my attention. It seems like it would just straight replace anyone running jace belaren...I mean sometimes jace just draws you a card but flash and being an enchantment is a big upside. Would faeries play it? I know they sometimes play jace or is the giving opponents cards too big a deal?

You also need a 1/1 to survive for a turn, its also kind of a nonbo with terminus, so entreat is the only real thing you can do with it. Just seems too weak.
Those are not the only miracles worth playing though. The one that tucks and the one that deals 5 damage can be greatly abused with this.
Dictate of Kruphix is totally playable in Turbofog! Its a huge upgrade from Temple Bell. I think Keranos is good for UWR, possibly better than Ajani. I am going to reserve final judgment until I can play with it though. I was completely wrong about Thassa, and I don't want to make the same mistake.
So far I am cautiously optimistic that JTN will be a solid set with a few playable modern cards.

Dictate of Kruphix is what the doctor has ordered for time warp deck (AKA time traveller's mill). It may replace Jace in the build (just use Laboratory Maniac as the only win con) or may partially replace Howling Mine or may be squeezed in as draw effects 7-10 alongside mine and Jace. This card may push time warp to a solid tier 1.5 deck. Get your time warps before they double
BTW the red and white god looks pretty interesting. It has a manageable casting cost. RW lockdown type decks might find a way to abuse it.
I also want to talk about Eidolon of Blossoms. GW enchantment lock decks are mostly unexplored territory. Mesa Enchantress could definitely power that deck, but the enchantress is frail and gets removed immediately. The Eidolon is an enchantment. Greater Auramancy will protect it from everything but wrath effects.
I mused in Boros general that at best Iroas's home may be RW Lock, but I just don't see him bringing anything to the table other than an inconsistent wincon animated through the sheer volume of lock pieces that I assume would've already included at least one Ajani Vengeant, who is far better suited for ruining people's games behind Leyline-Bridge. So even then he doesn't feel suited for it.
Control, specifically some kind of prison build, is in the right direction for him, I feel.

If you splash blue, then you get Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, and the new card Dictate of Kruphix. Bant Enchantress would give you 8 legitimate ways to protect Eidolon of Blossoms, and 8 legitimate draw engines to build the deck around. It is a severe drawback that the draw engine is double sided, but I could see it working because it is more difficult to remove.

Godsend seems to suffer from the curse of Sword of Vengeance because both are 3 cmc, need 3 mana to equip, and don't grant Hexproof/Shroud/Protection, but Bob/Goyf/Tiago/Delver/Ooze/Courser of Kruphix/Vendilion Clique/Deceiver Exarch/Leonin Arbiter/etc. are sure scared of swinging into or blocking its wielder...
