Two, no, it can't. Griselbrand is useless without Fury of the Horde and a bunch of red cards to pitch to it. Breach Emrakul = GG, Breach Griselbrand without Fury = draw 7 cards and die to whatever your opponent already has on the board.
I mean, none of these options are relevant to the deck that was suggested putting Gris in. But to just say Gris is useless without Fury as a blanket statement is wrong

Not just the Tendo King, the power of the Galactic Leyline surpasses that of the Tempa Emperor, No!, It's magnificent power is even greater than that!
Took it to an FNM and went from 2-0 to 2-2. I best UG infect and Jeskai Burn, then lost to Delver (control not aggro) and Pod (because Scavenging Ooze, twice).
It's really fun and powerful when it goes off. And I mean legacy level powerful. But you just need nutty hands to do it. I almost got a turn 1 Griselbrand (I cast my faithless looting with land and not the SSG, if I had I would've been able to go land, SSG 2 into Goryo target Griselbrand.)

This is partially true but also really not at the same time. The deck does have consistency issues, it needs another something to really bring the deck together ( like UR delver got w cruise) but its also experience w the deck that helps smooth that out.
Learning to Mulligan the deck is something that takes a lot of playing it to figure out. Its a deck that doesn't want to Mulligan but at the same time needs to be mulliganed very aggressively. Its also a deck that is seemingly super easy on the surface ( cheat fatty, kill face) but is actually subtly very complex ( lots of discarding, needing to play turns in advance, knowing when to pick your spot to overload the opponent etc)
It is unfortunately not near the legacy reanimate power level, but it is easily viable in the meta and people need to stop being scared of the dead. It will reward you if you dedicate urself to it
Remember this neat trick too. A lot of people don't know that you can Breach/Goryo's at the end of your opponents turn. This will let you keep Gris till your turn, so you get to untap with Gris still in play, which opens up more lines.

If someone who plays the deck doesn't know this, I feel badly for them. This is one of the main reasons to play the deck, which would otherwise fold to countermagic.
Oddly enough at my LGS, a lot of my opponents either don't know this or are playing. I've had at least 3 judge calls in 2 months about this type of situation and sometimes the Judge actually had to look it up or did it for the opponent's sake. "sacrifice at the beginning of the next end step..."

No, it's actually just true, not somehow true and not true at the same time. No amount of experience with a deck can increase its consistency. If you actually mean "learning how to mulligan better", then that's true to a certain extent. But mulliganning properly still doesn't actually increase a deck's consistency; rather, it just lets you maximize what consistency is there to begin with.
It's simply in inconsistent deck. There's no way around it. Everyone acknowledges that it can do powerful stuff. If it could do said powerful stuff on a consistent basis, then it would be a tier 1 deck. Instead it's like tier 2.

Yeah, i haven't played the deck in a while, but i've gotten into a few arguments with people about this. It doesn't help that both cards are written as "Sacrifice/ Remove from game at end of turn"

People run Scavenging Ooze mainboar, and almost everyone has graveyard hate in the side, which means you'd probably have to dilute your G2 mainboard every game by siding in graveyard hate hate.

Every deck has hate it needs to play around though...

Thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea. There is a difference in abundance between graveyard hate and, say, search hate or counterspell hate.
Edit: And I did not say that Griselbrand Reanimator is unplayable because of the GY hate that's around. I'm just saying that it's a strike against it that makes players more hestitant to pick the deck up.
The problem I had with the Griselbrand deck was that there was no reliable to get Goryo's Vengeance in hand. You have a lot of Reanimate targets like Emrakul, Narset or Elesh Norn. There's a lot of ways to get Griselbrand into the graveyard. You can only have 4 Goryo's Vengeance and the cards that you run as back-up to that plan are slower and don't synergize with the rest of the deck as well.

Big Johnny.
Well that's not exactly true. You can use Soul Spike to get more use out of Griselbrand. You could use Nourishing Shoal, and Autochthon Wurm. Children of Korlis is a possibility also.
or use something like Zombie Infestation.
or just draw into Simian Spirit Guide and Bolts.
