Hey Everyone. Im gonna spend some time on this fourm getting to know you, and getting to know magic a bit better. Video games have been ehh for me lately, so im going to spend some time playing magic again.
I have a few decks im going to ask you about, but today, im bringing up Knights. Now, iv been on tappedout and a couple threads here reading up on what cards to put into this weenie deck. So far i have good consistency, but a bit more land and a few cards short of what it needs to be.
(x1 Cavern of Souls???)
x26 Plains
x4 Knight exemplar
x2 Hero of bladehold
X4 Spectral Rider ( I dont like these too much, I've seen Knight of the white Orchid in a deck like this.
x4 Student of warefare. (Just got her and shes mad awesome turn 1-3)
x4 Honor of the Pure
x4 SilverBlade Paladin
x3 Day of Judgemetn
x2 Sun titan
x3 Silence
x4 Oblivion ring
Halp.
Thank you
OCC: I have a grave power deck i want to improve, and Iv been itching forever to build an angel deck. (Any links for White green angel decks?)
Hey! Just some forum advice: deck tags make your decklists a lot easier to browse. To make them, just type out your list like you did (except without the x's before the numbers) and put "[.deck]" at the beginning and "[./deck]" at the end without the periods. It'll come out looking like this:
In terms of lands, I think 26 is too many for a white weenie deck that wants to have a pretty low curve. I'd probably go down to 24. Since you're also monocolor tribal aggro, I'd look at throwing in a playset of Mutavaults--they can get in for quite a bit of damage, especially with lords and anthems.
In terms of spells, I don't think that Silence or Day of Judgment are very useful to you. Silence is typically only used by combo decks to prevent disruption the turn they go off. It seems like you'd be casting it at kinda arbitrary times without a lot of impact. And since you're a heavily creature-based aggro deck, I don't see Day of Judgment (or any mass creature destruction) doing anything other than hurting you. In terms of removal, Path to Exile is almost strictly superior to Oblivion Ring and I'd highly recommend you run PtE over O-Ring. Silence could be replaced with a number of things, but you might want to look at some more anthems like Spear of Heliod, or some high-curve lords like Kinsbaile Cavalier.
Knight of the White Orchid might be a better option than Spectral Rider, but it's hard to say and is probably up to you. Evasion like intimidate isn't something to be underestimated. However, I would recommend cutting the Sun Titans. It's a great card, but it's just way too high for your curve. I think you'd rather max out on Hero of Bladehold and Student of Warfare, which both make for excellent clocks.
