Quote from idSurge »GW - Druid Counters
RG - RG Eldrazi?
UG - There's a fun aggro build you could do here.
Bant - Knightfall for sure.
Sultai - Not sure.
Temur - Monkey Grow
Quote from Raven094 »Cards you already own: don't have much cards as I recently restarted played on paper... but I don't plan entering a tournament tomorrow, so it's ok to buy the cards little by little.
Colors you like to play: As colors I always favored mostly White and Green but I'm really ok playing other colors too
Style you like to play: creature based combo, aggro, midrange, tempo, ramp and rogue... but mostly midrange and rogue (I prefer playing something more unique then a top tier deck)
Level you want to play at, or aim to build up to: mostly casual, fnm or small local tournament (city with population of 40.000)
Thank you so much in advance for your answers... I'm struggling so much to find a deck I like to play but it's still good
Quote from Sephlink_ »Hey all,
My meta is basically control decks and burn (occasionally there's some big mana players). There's a split of 60-40 between competitive players and casual players. Decks I own are: Jeskai Control, GBx, Amulet, Tron, and Hardened Scales.
What deck should I pick up?
Quote from Sephlink_ »Thanks for the recommendations, I might pick up amulet or jeskai. The big mana decks are normally eldrazi tron and amulet. Before asking, I was playing GBx and I was in a spot of winning just against the burn players, control games where just grind fests that ended always on them landing a threat I can't answer.
Quote from tronix »i can always get behind choosing jeskai :D. eldrazi tron is certainly one of my less preferred matchups though. post board angel package (lyra/baneslayer) does a lot of work though.
if im ever looking to expand my collection and get a new modern deck, amulet would def be on the short list (or a deck very much like it in this theoretical future).
your GBx comment is spot on with my perspective. the archetype has SOME good stuff going on and it CAN win, but every time i play against GBx on UWx now it feels like a whole lotta struggling on their end without the reward. i used to dread discard into lotv, constantly struggling to pull ahead on raw card count. now its just 'whaddup jace! whaddup teferi! lets hit up azcanta!'. snapcaster can finally rest from his burden of propping up the deck.
Quote from CrypticCommander »Dredge is likely the most resilient, as it is getting Nether Spirit and has persisted the years with and without Golgari Grave-Troll. The only card I could see getting banned in the deck is Creeping Chill, but that wouldn’t kil the archetype, just make it less explosive.
Titan is cool but hard to play. I’d say wait to see where goblins ends up after horizons and decide from there.
Quote from motleyslayer »normally been playing some form of midrange or control in modern. I played dredge a bit but sold it because |I did not enjoy or understand it. I play show and tell in legacy and really like it and wanted to build some kind of goryo's deck or the boaryos vengeance deck because it cheats the same creatures into play? Based off of this information would you try it?
Quote from tarotplz »I'm currently on the lookout for a deck that has a decent Tron and Amulet Titan matchup. The problem is that I don't really want to play something like Ad Nauseam or Storm...
Quote from TheRavenManIsSquee »I don’t know what deck to play. I enjoy midrange decks a ton, and I also like combo. I have a three hundred dollar budget. I am only just getting into modern from standard, and this will be my first modern deck aside from mono green infect. Thoughts?

I would like my deck to be competitive since I don't enjoy playing a deck if I know it's not very good even though it might be my play style otherwise. I was thinking about Izzet Phoenix Humans but I'm not sure.
