Why the hell is every deck playing blue atomatically labeled control.
Funnily enough I have seen a ton of people on this forum who assume that playing Control does mean playing Blue and that those two words are synonymous with each other. It's a quite an annoying misconception.
That's what I've been able to figure out so far, pretty sure. Not sure what the last guy's playing though (anyone else know?). This isn't in the order of their rank going into top 8 at all.
This tournament has been a breeze to watch, but I hated the chat constantly saying Bloom should be banned. On camera I think the earliest I saw CVM win was turn 4 with the deck. Unless I missed a game of course. So yeah, I agree it's consistent, but not consistent at winning turn 2 or 3 like people seem to think.

Watching the replay of the stream right now Christopher O'Bryant is on G/R tron.

It was even worse with the Griselbrand deck. All were like turn 2 win=broken needs a ban etc.., in the end the deck went 4-4. Amulet is at least getting results so the whining might be more justified.

The whining is coming from players who, when I point out Twin can win turn 3 if built around green, then start moaning about consistency. It's funny really, they keep saying you can play an amulet deck without bloom, but the reality is, there is no other deck running amulet, which tells you how the deck actually is.

Maybe I missed that part, but I didn't hear of Bloom Titan bans. I would be surprised that Mathias Hunt would even say that, of all people, considering that he was the first person to bring the deck to light.
There actually was a guy at my LGS playing "Bloom Titan," and I use the term lightly, before Bloom Titan became a thing. When the list from Mathias Hunt came out, there wasn't really a reason for the guy to stick with his list, which was off by 10-15 cards, including the all-important Hive Mind.

It was in the chat, I got in an argument who kept insisting bloom titan can exist without bloom.
To put it into numbers: 21 decks
4 Amulet Bloom
4 Grixis Control
2 Abzan Midrange
2 Abzan Company
2 Affinity
1 Grixis Delver
1 Grixis Twin
1 GR Tron
1 Jund
1 Sultai Delver
1 Burn
1 Merfolk
From the 7-1 list, it looks like Grixis Control/Moon.
Edit: that's a lot of Amulet and Grixis in the 7-1 list.
I can understand why he would make the switch. I've had been playing Sultai control for a while and right before I gave it up I felt that the metagame has since shifted to where Lightning Bolt and Terminate and very good, while Abrupt Decay has become kind of disappointing.
Is there any way to watch stuff earlier in the current stream before the stream actually ends? That is, to view it like a past broadcast where you can move around in the timeline?
I'm pretty sure there's some way to do it because I've done it in the past, but I can't remember what it was.
1) If your playing a "Fair" deck, it has Tasigur in it
2) If your playing an "unfair" deck, it has one of 3 elements:
a) Fast Clock (Burn, Affinity)
b) Fast mana (Bloom, Tron)
c) Infinite Combo (Company)
The higher ups at SCG decreed it so. There were a few times where most of the chat was timed out for getting pretty nasty, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did it just to head off stuff like that in the future.

Thats it. Thats the meta right now.
Tasigur is the new Tarmogoyf, quick guys, buy up all the Tasigurs you can find!!!
Seriously though, every time I saw it, the guy on the other side of the table looked pretty sad with Bolts and/or Decays in his hand.
1 Gurmag Angler
3 Hooting Mandrills
2 Snapcaster Mage
4 Tarmogoyf
2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang
1 Forest
