Being an Ad Nauseam fan, I have to say I'm impressed by Elves : that was beatiful. Malone played really good and the deck appeared so consistent. Wow.
Thanks to Darien Elderfield for that amazing run to top 4. I would never have thought about it!
Cheers!
Was fun run, but he misplayed with his pact of negations. Game 1 he should of held the 2nd pact for rec sage as he was in no danger of dying with Unlife in play. Game 2 he had to counter that Chord as another Rec Sage was game over.
Well I guess this solidifies all the people asking if Collected Company is only a fad or if it is the deal deal. 25% of the top 16 is Abzan company and 37.5% is running Collected Company.
Also Twin vs Elves final. Lets see if Twin wins the 10000000th GP in a row.

I think you're right all along. Especially in game 1. It was not an optimal call to cast the 2 Pact of Negation.
Good to see who plays better win the match.
Affinity player definitely could have won that game 3 playing better around the spellskite and also the AN player apparently choose fringe line of plays (although i'm less familiar with the MU, let alone the deck ).

the Ad Naus players mistakes were very hard to see, especially if you don't know the Elves deck. The affinity player making those mistakes are just terrible as they are basic lines of play.
Splinter will win again like billions GP's already and ban discussion will come up but in the end of the day Wizards will do nothing about their obviously beloved deck that shouldn't be touched like every other deck can.
Of course they won't do anything if Twin isn't breaking the rules of the format.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

You say that like Elves winning would be a bad thing.

He still might have lost in games 2 and 3.

yeah he punted game 1. g2 and g3 he still could have lost. It's a shame cause Twin is such a good matchup for the deck.
It's not bad. I just personally don't have much investment or interest in it.
At least it isn't a top tier deck. Also, Wesley submitted the wrong decklist and is getting a gameloss, so Elves will probably win.
