They say "just disrupt the Bloom player, and you're fine."
Merfolk player had two Ghost Quarters and an Aether Vial to cheat critters in, the Bloom player was stuck on one land for two turns, and Bloom still won.

Wow that Ghost Quarter play was terrible. I cannot believe that just happened. Granted, he probably would have still won on the following turn, but still.

And if he hadn't used that second Ghost Quarter erroneously, the Bloom player wouldn't have been able to pull that line off.
One might as well say that the winner of the GP Kansas City a few years back was able to do the Kitchen Finks infinite life combo through graveyard disruption. Just because the opponent had graveyard disruption doesn't mean anything if they don't use it properly (in this case, actually forgetting it was in their hand).
Even if the Ghost Quarter hadn't been misused, was there any doubt that the Amulet player would've won the next turn? I mean really, did anyone think the Merfolk player was going to win?

He was threatening some pretty good damage with his creatures. Also, he'd have one more land to do stuff with than he did.

Merfolk player had chance to win, he had some power on the board and could threatened pretty well. I still think Amulet Bloom player would won very likely and that this play actually wasn't game deciding.
Probably not, since if he didn't blow the first bounce land up with the first ghost quarter, then he could have generated titan mana. The Ghost Quarter from the Amulet player, forced the issue of the second Ghost Quarter of the Merfolk player. Even if the player did not respond, it all came down to whether he believed there was a second basic in the deck, which is a debatable. Eitherway, the game looked pretty bleak once there were no more Ghostquarter on the field.
Did not expect BW tokens to do this well, I like the deck, but lately its just seemed like a bad deck since it auto folds to tron and from this point on were only going to see a bigger and bigger metagame share for tron as more people realize just how strong it is.
If the Eldrazi deck gets good, I would expect Tron to take some splash damage off the Zoo / Affinity / Burn / Merfolk that will rise up to combat it. Tron has been a thing for a long time, and it's not like people don't realize that it's not strong.

I believe you just said that people don't realize Tron is strong. Was that your intention? That was a very confusingly worded sentence due to the triple negative.
Anyway, Tron actually doesn't mind Merfolk and Affinity that much (unless you've dropped Pyroclasms, which to be fair some lists have). Zoo and Burn are big annoyances, though.

Derp. I literally teach English, too.
Yes, Tron is strong, and everyone knows it. But it isn't invincible, and everyone knows that, too.

The commentators were talking about a lack of Jund at the event.
There was an Abzan Collected Company list, but I haven't seen a single Liliana or Tarmogoyf today, though I missed lots of the coverage.

It is like that Tron and Amulet are hot right now and everyone wants to try out the new Eldrazi deck.
Cannot say I am that surprised by it for this meta, althought I do expect Twin to step up and push Eldrazi deck into tier 2 if it becomes a thing to worry about.
I'm glad Amulet deck is getting gutted. This is not how Magic should be played
Bans are for sure coming?
Also, considering how magic should be played with terrible creatures and overpowered everything else (As it was created to be), you can see why a bunch of us Combo players would be thinking in expressive hand gestures about players who think this.

Amulet pretty flagrantly violates the turn four rule, so i expect it is done on the 18th. It would be comical if it got t8 too at this open.
Ive had the deck built for about six months now, its my go to "I just want to top 8 this IQ" deck. Its unrelenting, its like TRON, you can only stop it for so long.

Twin isn't great against Eldrazi - it's like 50/50 or better for the Eldrazi player depending on the configuration.
BURN is the thing that can keep Eldrazi in check.
