Spoilers are already rolling in for our next set, so it's time to open up the thread and let the Modern community look for the next big staples and playables.
So the new set has a mechanic called Delerium which punishes the owner for not having 4 or more card types in the graveyard. This allows for a pushed card (in theory). So maybe any new Modern playable cards with Delerium are basically unable to be used in decks running Delve? Or do decks based around delve SOLVE the delerium clause?
Delirium doesn't strictly benefit or hurt you for having it active, as the leaks have shown. A deck based around Delve could run Delirium cards if it removed most of it's Delve cards, but than is it a Delve deck or a Delirium deck?

Delve and Delirium by themselves, I think they could coexist.
It's when you toss in something like Scooze that can interact with the graveyard with more precision than a Tormod's Crypt effect that you get into a gamestate cluster**** mess. Tarmogoyf will look like casual mode in comparison since it counts both graveyards.
Oh there's also Snapcaster Mage's flashback abilities whittling away your graveyard. Thoughtscour is used to prop up Delve and is sometimes jokingly thought of as Ancestral Recall when combined with Tiago, but that same self-mill could work towards Delirium (albeit unreliably).
There's a lot of weirdness that can go on but if you look at just Delve and Delirium on their own, I think you can combine the two in small amounts if you play intelligently. But if you go all in on supporting one or the other that's when they begin to antagonize each other to the point of incompatibility, I think. Keeping 4 card types in the grave should be easier than trying to mix Threshold with Delve (I didn't pay attention during the period TC was legal in Legacy but I assume Nimble Mongoose just nonboed too hard with TC).
Duskwatch Recruiter looks cool. It reminds me of Fauna Shaman. You don't need to tap it or discard a creature to activate the ability, but it costs more and only looks 3 cards deep. Could be good in a creature-heavy (i.e. no Primal Command/Genesis Wave) Devotion deck, perhaps as a tutor target for Woodland Bellower. Oath of Nissa makes you want to play less spells anyway.
duskwatch recruiter looks like it might have applications as sideboard tech against the midrange decks for zoo shells. In heavy creature shells, it's basically a 3-mana anticipate on a stick.

Primary Decks:
Modern: Esper Draw-Go
Legacy: RUG Lands
EDH: Sidisi turn-3 storm
The only thing I have to say about Shadows over Innistrad is "Huston, we have madness."
Liliana just got a bit of a power boost.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

If they print some rootwalla and more loxodons, Liliana decks can bite the dust.
I know it's going to be an amazing block! People will be discarding into playing stuff all the time, so it speeds up the game for people playing madness style decks. Combine that with some recursion from Liliana, Heretical healer after she graduates and now things get very interesting. I'm thinking about trading up eldrazi for the pieces I need from the older sets once more cards get spoiled.
At worse both players will be laughing as they play stuff on the cheap.

You say that but if any of the Odyssey-Torment staples come back I am going to rock UGx Madness so hard.
They will probably print similar cards - we already got the Merfolk Looter in the new Jace.
Pseudo Threshold is coming back too.
But if we can get Mongrel and Rootwalla back, that would be great.
Or maybe some Madness artifacts so Artificer's Intuition can be broken in half finally.

On mtgsalvation people don't want to discuss ideas, so I give people something else to discuss: my controversial opinions.
Look, if any deck of this block breaks modern like some unnamed aliens, I will play that deck with out a second thought because I love Inn. If we get a creature that has a pumpkin head (other than reaper king, and its playable... I will litterally quit zoo on the spot and play that deck.
Edit: Give me a tibalt that enables maddness, and gets cast with it.

You can try it already in modern with UR. We already have Arrogant Wurm Might not be awful with things like Jace. Of course there's not much other reason to try it without a counterspell or free creature.

Reckless Wurm is nothing like farting out Rootwallas and Circular Logics with Mongrels and Moebas while also setting up disgustingly value-packed Deep Analysis/Roar of the Wurm plays.
On the other hand, Faithless Looting craps all over Careful Study so much that not playing Red in a Madness deck would be, well, madness!
The reason why the casters mentioned Big Game Hunter during PT OGW was as a cryptic spoiler for madness being in the next set. This is also the reason for the Mindslicer buyout.

These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

Pack Guardian is 6 power with Flash for 4 mana...and a land card. In my testing with Embodiment of Fury, the land card is easy to get most of the time, but Embodiment of Fury matches up poorly against Eldrazi and Pack Guardian trades with Reality Smasher and trades away its primary body with Thought-Knot Seer. It's no Polukranos, World Eater or Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet-on-a-killing-spree against Eldrazi (guess why several high-scoring Jund decks in the Pro Tour packed a Kalitas)--it can't swing games almost by itself--but it's more guaranteed value.
Duskwatch Recuiter wants a high creature density--it's whiffed twice in Melira Company so far, and that deck has 29 creatures in it--but if Eldrazi Displacer has taught me anything, it's that the ability will get activated. The flipping is almost a drawback, though, but at least it gets fatter, and you can activate the ability in response as many times as you can...

The cards that we know with Delirium aren't too exciting. The Demon fills your graveyard but I think Tasigur is better most of the time.
I like how Dance with Devils is basically two Goblin Arsonists at instant speed, like Carrion Call and Glistener Elf. Still, it's expensive, and those tokens can't be sacced to Goblin Grenade.
