I really want this card to be good as well. If all your deck does is ramp and make tokens, you're still looking at a turn 4 flip most times. It is a super sweet card. I bought 2 of them when I fist saw it but I think I would end up sacrificing nearly all of my tokens, flipping the abbey and then watching my demon get pathed and get destroyed by whatever turn 4/5 threat they have on the board.
Wizards designed transform cards out of flavor, so a mass-transformation spell for werewolves makes sense. They also made them impossible to abuse for power's sake. Westvale will have to be flipped manually. BW Tokens doesn't want it, and other Tokens players have reached the same conclusion. Perhaps a really grindy control deck?

I am going to try out a copy of westvale abbey in my UBW control deck since it runs secure the wastes main and then theres also timely reinforcements since tokens for me are mostly on chump block duty so why not.

are there any ways in modern to combo into transforming permanent to their flipped sides?
i'd like to find a way to cheat or speed westvale abby into its flipped side for instance.
Spectral procession and lingering souls. This card is playable in BW tokens because its good against wrath/ee effects.
