Well OK, so, this set is now ridiculously bombshell. What the heck is going to happen? I can't even fathom the potential modern meta shakeups.
BW Tokens gets a ton better. Junk gets better. Jund gets better. BUG is maybe playable? 3 color hatebear decks are possibly a thing. UR Delver gets an even better manabase. Grixis UR splash back gets better mana.
UR Storm actually gets a pretty huge bump, even though it's kinda garbage tier still.
They're good for sure, but I don't think they're that crazy, not like allied fetches were. BUG's problem wasn't the land base. Storm's problem isn't the mana. Tokens would definitely like the WB, but it's problems aren't really based purely on the manabase.
UR Delver will definitely like these though, as will Abzan.
Better lands are good to have, but spells make the deck. Grixis didn't become a deck because they printed allied fetchlands - it's cards like Tasigur and Kolaghan's Command that made the deck what it is.
Nevertheless, the allied lands will definitely see widespread play. They're great for low-curve or mana-dork heavy decks. Most UR decks fit this description, e.g. Delver, Thing/PA, Goryo's Vengeance.

This isn't always true as grixis had horrible mana bases for awhile. Without the khans lands, there is no way grixis is where it is today.

On mtgsalvation people don't want to discuss ideas, so I give people something else to discuss: my controversial opinions.

I don't see how Scapeshift doesn't adopt the UG, how Jeskai/Delver doesn't adopt the UR, how Abzan doesn't adopt the BG, and how BW tokens doesn't adopt their own. Heck, even playing solo RW burn might be on the table now.
I honestly believe this part of the cycle will see double the play of the one we currently have in Modern.
If ever there was a card that deserved a thread, its this one. Whats the best way to break this?
Whenver you try ti re-invent the wheel it is always a good idea to see what already exist. This would fitt right into a Jeff Hoogland like shell or kiki-chord, except I doubt you have time to spend a turn doing this.
Eternal Witnes
Wall of Omens
Restoration Angel
Pia And Kira Lanaar
Infernal Titan

Abzan can do it with beying time with kitchen finks and siege rhino.
It has some weak synergi in bant eldrazi, thought knot being the stand out (discard 2, draw 1)
Bedlam rveler if you have mana between the discards. Goblin Darkdveller and Snapcast Mage.
Kozilek's Predator or Eyeless Watcher + Eldrazi Displacer and this is infinite colorless mana/scion or spawn tokens. But that's a 3 card combo. This is definitely a combo card and not a build around engine type card because the formats just too fast to be wasting your 4 drop on a do nothing. Its still not fast as a combo piece and you need a couple other cards to do anything with it, one of which you need to have ETB after the panharmonicon... If it was a 2 drop, maybe but at 4 its too slow.
You missed the important combos there, displacer + drowner of hope is infinite colorless mana and infinite 1/1 eldrazi scions and displacer plus thought knot seer means opponents can't play non-land cards at sorcery speed (with both you instantly win the game by forcing your opponent to draw 61 cards). That card may very well be playable in bant eldrazi since it slides in with no modifications, has cards in the deck that can dig for it, and enables some devastating combos.

I assume abzan will pick up the bw one. Their only turn 1 plays are discard or path, similar to jund's discard or bolt, where cliffs really shines.
Yeah some Abzan lists are playing Hierarch too, so BG fastland seems like the one you want.
Sun Titan + 2 Sahili's in the gy means infinite tokens, much like Splinter Twin combo. You can't even disrupt the combo with bolt or abrupt decay as long as you hold priority for Sahili's -2

? I specifically said that Abzan, Delver and Tokens would very likely play their specific fastlands. I'm saying that this isn't a big meta shift that will cause previously "unplayable" decks like Sultai or Tokens to become good.

Some of you guys are underestimating how much losing to burn by a crappy manabase has cost decks like Junk and grixis control over the years I think, but we'll see I guess
I would guess Abzan would want BW fastland the same way that Jund wants BR. They both enable the deck's T1 discard for B and their one-mana removal spell for R or W.
In Abzan it's not just about the turn 1 play though. It's a very mana greedy deck. Of course you want untapped B on turn 1 and you could just fetch a swamp. But often I'm forced to fetch a Overgrown Tomb/Godless Shrine so that I can play the cards in my hand over the next few turns. Not having to lightning bolt yourself so that you can play the spells in your hand can't be bad with so many aggro decks in the format right? I think it'll be a tricky balancing act between fetches, shocks, manlands, fast lands and possibly a filter land.
Steel Sabotage already exists. Ceremonious Rejection can hit more stuff out of RG Tron, but Sanctum of Ugin and Ulamog will still trigger.
Yeah, Steel Sabotage already exists. So does Annul. But while there aren't many colored artifacts (there certainly are some), all Eldrazi are colorless. And they're tier 1 in Modern, Legacy, and Vintage.
My nemesis wurmspiralmachine (wurmcoil engine doesnt sound as menacing) can be countered for 1 mana. as well as karn? SOLD

Eldrazi plays Cavern of Souls. That card isn't going to be a good answer against them.
