Its pretty much on everyones mind...... how do we get to 50 life by turn 4. it isn't possible, but by turn 6! or 7!
beacon of immortality or Celestial Mantle effectively double peoples life total. So turn 4 we play the kill condition. turn 6 we double 25+ life with beacon of immortality and win!
in a combo deck that wants to ramp into these pricy spells, i don't think martyr of sands will do, too many opening hands will be kept with mana ramp that isn't white.
turbo fogging might be a thing.
children of korlis can always protect your net gained life as your inching up to a beacon.
but Retract also seems pretty good the more I think about it. I had totally forgotten about Aetherworks Reservoir's first ability and was scractching my head over how you would really reliably gain life off Glimmerpost (and Vesuva) alone. The 0 artifacts + bounce thing really breaks the crap out of that triggered ability
I do think an important thing these posts forget is that your first spell nets you 1 life while it's in play, then 2, then 3, etc. so a hand full of Memnite, Ornithopter, and Retract could easily accelerate you to 50 life.
