Start of with Llanowar elves, turn 2 land, then tap Llanowar elves for one mana which gives 3 mana in total, then play might of old Krosa in your main phase which gets devoted druid up to a 4/7 then pay 2 life and put mutagenic growth on devoted druid making it a 6/8 then using devoted druids ability I can have it tap for mana 6 times giving six mana, will this work or am I missing something?

Devoted Druid has summoning sickness so you won`t be able to tap him for mana on the second turn.
The only way you can hard cast a Gigantosaurus on turn 2 in modern is with the help of Simian Spirit Guide.
For example - Turn 1, Forest + Simian Spirit Guide, cast Devoted Druid. Turn 2 - do something like you described with Mutagenic/Might of Old Krosa and cast him.
Or
Forest, Simian Spirit Guide + Devoted Druid / Pentad Prism , Turn 2 - Forest as 2nd land drop, add 4 green with either of your turn 1 plays, exile another Simian Spirit Guide, cast Manamorphose to convert that red into the fifth green source.
Technically it is possible, but is it worth it or can it be consistently done? Not really.
As others have mentioned, thats a lot of cards and a lot of work for what is a big ole beater that gets shut down for 4+ turns to a single lingering souls.

it sure is fun in kitchen table magic but its far too weak for competitive modern
edit: for 6 mana you could primeval titan wich is a much better card than gigantosaurus
top 5 anime of all time (tv, not books because dragon ball would be first)
1. Sword art online 2. Fairy tail 3. Naruto(shipuden) 4. Bleach 5. Claymore

Edit:
Another funny line you can take is:
Turn 1 - Overgrown Tomb + Thoughtseize yourself discarding Devoted Druid,
Turn 2 - Make your land drop, cast Postmortem Lunge targeting your Devoted Druid giving it haste, Cast Might of Old Krosa targeting Devoted Druid and then cast the Gigantosaurus. So it can actually be done without Simian Spirit Guide
