I'm not digging Feather at all. You're not going to play bad cards just to squeeze some extra value out of him. I think his colors - particularly the double white - make it too difficult to play him in a 3-color if you want to cast him on curve.
There's some room for me to be wrong at least. A 3/4 flier for 3 cmc isn't a bad starting point. I feel like he needed either vigilance or lifelink to push him over the edge.
This is super relevant to WAR evaluation because new Karn is at the least a marginal upgrade to Whir and at the most a significant one. I always bet on cards in New sets that have natural, top-tier homes. Between Whir and Tron and all the fringe stuff, expect new Karn to make a big Modern splash (if you didn't expect it already).

New karn seems very good, but not that fast for whir but quite powerful in the mirror, but I am more worried that the new card could push Tron to a more control shell and really wreck everyone else, (and maybe finally ban the tron lands :P)
The new Saheeli looks like it can make Phoenix decks even stronger.
I just posted the same thing in the saheeli thread actually lol. She seems just straight up great out of the sideboard.
What I think is particularly interesting is how much discussion the set is generating with 3-4+ cmc cards. Overall I think that's a big win for modern. Although to me it signals that the format may be slowing down in an attempt to do more powerful things - especially post board.
One thing I'm interested in with Saheeli is if she is finally the piece that Blood Funnel needs to work. Just like Heartless Summonings, the deck is back if you don't draw it. This is something that the new mulligan rule may be able to fix, so it could be time to take a look at the deck again.
Saheeli, Sublime Artificer looks like a slightly more expensive Young Pyromancer who can be attacked and targeted with burn, but she takes 5 damage to kill unless you minus her (and the -2 had better be worth it), she isn't vulnerable to creature removal, she triggers on any noncreature spell you cast, and she can be played in blue non-red decks. She already looks like one of the best cards in the set for Modern!

Ah, sorry there were so many posts there I could not read all.
Anyway, I don't have a phoenix deck. But I do have a Mardu Pyromancer deck.. with 28 instant and sorceries I think Saheeli can produce many tokens. She can also clone a pyromancer to produce even more tokens. Hmm, might take out one Bedlam Reveler to test her.
So the new Karn, the Great Creator lools good. It was officialy spoiled. I do not feel bad talking about it.
You include it in your tron deck. What are the sideboard cards you include spesifically to be searched up with him? The big easy winn is mycosyth latice. Latice + Karn = Your opponent can't tap lands for mana. We know Tron rocks 10 mana spells allready.
But what when you only have 7 mana? I thibk Ensnaring Bridge is good. Keeps you safe. Evebtually you winn.

I like the 4th Oblivion Stone in the wishboard, and I'd prioritize it over everything but Mycosynth Lattice (face it: 4-mana tutors are slow as heck, so if you still want to play one, it had better search for a game winner). O. Stone (and its cousin Perilous Vault) wipes the board and therefore covers the Karn Lattice combo's weakness to attackers.
I wonder if Martyr for the Cause is playable. It would basically be another 2 mana effect for humans. There's plenty to proliferate between Champion of the Parish, Thalia's Lieutenant, Aether Vial, and maybe some other fringe stuff.

One of Wurmcoil and Walking Ballista is probably fine as the lone threat in the wishboard. Wurmcoil can gain life, while Ballista can wipe boards.
I think Witchbane Orb is a decent option for those times you need Burn/combo hate fast or you don't quite think Karn GC will survive.
It's hard for Gx Tron to dip to 1 or fewer cards in hand, from my experience, so I don't think Ensnaring Bridge is a good idea.
New karn plus liquimetal coating is repeatable land destruction every turn. Could be brutal against the mirror.
tormond's crypt could be a better wishboard target over relic because you can fire it off the turn you land him. A whole turn could be a world of difference against dredge/Phoenix, especially if you don't have tron online yet and need the answer now.
You could t3 tron to play new karn and fetch up a trinnisphere to slow your opponent down.
The card is legit. Not I'm going to have a busted game of magic like hollow one or arclight Phoenix legit, but it's good lol.
The new Raze Boar card might be a good addition to Breach Titan decks. It's one turn slower, but it adds more power to the board than Breach, and it returns Titan to your hand at the end of the turn so you can replay it next turn if your opponent somehow isn't dead yet.
I really like the new Raging Twister in RG AssaultLoam. I think it may breath new life and energy into the archetype since it will give it more play against the Trophy decks that can just kill Seismic Assault or surgical Loam to win the game.
I'm wondering whether Living Twister can fit into decks like Jund, Amulet Titan, RG Valakut variants, creature spam (Collected Company decks, Vannifar decks, etc.), or more. Being able to bounce your own lands makes it that much better at killing things.
The Big Pig could find its way into Breach Titan as Breach number 5 but the slot it would occupy competes with Hour of Promise/Prismatic Omen/Relic so there’s stuff competition for this flex slots
Enter the God-Eternals looks like one heck of a UB, 5-mana, token-making sorcery Flametongue Kavu, and it's even a 4/4 that likely gains you 4 life to boot (though the mill is a bit iffy)...shame it requires a creature target (and a player target, but just mill yourself).

Also, I never saw if anyone mentioned that Ral, Storm Conduit + Bolt/Snap/Bolt, is a withering 16 damage. Not a turn 4 kill, but if we get anything else for Blue Moon, thats good enough. That is also, where I'll be trying Dreadhorde Arcanist who is a Wizard (with Snaps) for Wizard's Lightning.
God-Eternal Kefnet is a 4/5 flier who costs 2UU and has a 2-mana-discount Miracle copy machine on your instant and sorcery cards.
Sounds like your average slow 4-power, 4-mana flier, right? Except for the part where he's infinite turns with an extra turn card (Time Warp is the good old cheap standby) and Jace, the Mind Sculptor. Might those GUx Time Warp Ramp decks want him and Jace TMS?
I'm more excited about Toll of the Invasion myself. It has the same converted mana cost as Sin Collector, and it's a painless Thoughtseize on what's often 1/1 legs. It's a sorcery, not a creature, but hey!
In the meantime, if Mission Briefing has taught me anything, it's that I often need to wait for a deceptively long while to get any value out of a card that only lets me whip out spells from my graveyard. Finale of Promise looks like a rather conditional semi-late game play to me unless you truly need that one spell in your graveyard (or you're cheating out a dumped Living End or something).

Yes, he would. Well, opposing Phoenix hoser at the very least. Because all he does is delay your death, he seems like more of a control walker to me.

But after that I strugle. Is Wurmcoil Engine worth it? Defense Grid?
What would you suggest?

May as well leave one Relic of Progenitus in the wishboard, too.

Can we break God-Eternal Bontu and her Reprocess for 1 more mana on 5/6 legs?
Does World Shaper work?

8 Snaps, 8 Bolts, Ral, and Remand.

Can be used for 0s can be easily used for cantrips and if you have the mana can do some silly things.

Alternatively, for 3 mana UR Phoenix gets to flashback 2 spells and return all their birds to play
