I was just reading a tread on some cards that are underused in moden and I noticed Protean Hulk and Footsteps of the Goryowhich looked kinda sweet
plus we have Through the Breach
Can we make this work?????
I have to go to class but it looks like something that could be absolutely hilarious.
For one thing, we're missing the creatures that made Hulk/Flash a deck, Shield Sphere and its ilk.
Secondly, without Seething Song we would need good ramp to fire off the Breach, which takes space in the deck away from the creatures to find the kill. Too many times you're gonna draw your creatures which are fairly useless on their own.

You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
That's not entirely true though. The old Flash/Hulk deck used Reveillark, Body Double + Mogg Fanatic (I believe) + sac outlet. All of which are Modern legal. Plus we have Pentad Prism to ramp up to Breach.
The problem is that since that time both Emrakul and Griselbrand have been printed and they both basically state "I win" on them, so there's no need to play Hulk anymore. I might be wrong though, it might still be a decent alternative.

That's actually an awesome idea. I've played some Hive Mind once and the deck was terribly inconsistent because you needed the right mixture of the right Pact, Hive Mind, mana accel and protection. Hulk might smooth the deck out a bit. All though I'm not sure I understand how Lost Auramancer fits in. I get that he fetches Hive Mind but if you sac him with counters on he does nothing, so you have to wait 3 turns.

Must have meant Lost Auramancers and Vampire Hexmage.

You would still need a way to sacrifice Auramancers. The effect doesn't trigger on the removal of the last counter, it triggers when it hits the bin. Plus the deck still needs a way to get Hulk on board ideally Turn 3.

The Vanishing actually contains a triggered ability that causes the permanent to be sacrificed when the last counter is removed.

You can always run Summoner's Pact, Pact of Negation, Lost Auramancers, Viscera Seer, and Hive Mind in the deck.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
I'm gonna start brewing

I meant to say Vampire Hexmage.
