Have we thought of the card Hollow one in this deck? Play more of a discard style deck that fuels tasigur, gurmag angler, then you have the angle where you can pack rat discard to set set off hollow one. Maybe the U/B isn't the right color, may you go grixis or Sulati colors.
After with tinkering with a deck concept, maybe it can look like something like this. Maybe the hollow one is a little cute but it could be interesting. I am going to test this out, maybe you can add green and get a vengevine concept or add death shadow to the deck. We shall see if those even work
Ghost-Lit Warder doesn't seem good enough for me, I prefer Dimir Guildmage (though it isn't great itself).
Another interesting 2-drop option is Fathom Feeder which like (a 1/1) Azure Mage with deathtouch (and ingest) but a more expensive ability.
This is what I've been playing around with lately. Mana base definitely needs refinement and there's just some many directions I want to go I dont really know what to do. There's some really power synergies and just the basic eldrazi engine wins games quickly. The backdoor combo is where I think decks like this should be, rather than focusing on going all in. I mostly just struggle to set up versus discard or fast aggressive starts from decks. No collected company hurts and maybe I should just not focus 4 and 5 drops and play a coco variant. I think some cards like Glen Elendra could go to the board in favor of another TKS (started with four originally) but I did want to reduce my dependency on colorless mana but holy turn 2 TKS is good haha.

To take advantage of discarding in the deck something like Bloodghast (or Bloodsoaked Champion) can be pretty good.
The deck also doesn't seem to have any 4-power creatures for Stubborn Denial so Countersquall would probably be better.
Another creature which works pretty well with both Stubborn Denial and Training Grounds is Molten-Tail Masticore.

Cryptbreaker is an interesting idea, it doesn't gain that much from Training Grounds and has no other zombies to support it
(Gravecrawler, Cemetery Reaper) so I don't know if it is good enough here.

It doesn't even play Training Grounds as Familiar is so easy to find with creature-tutors.
The deck turned better that it looked though it can probably be improved quite a bit.
I'm probably going to try it in my deck over Dimir Guildmage (the discard can sometimes be good but is situational).
