Sorry I have been absent for a bit. Work got really crazy and of course the virus. I will make sure to keep on this so we can make sure the thread doesn't perish.
I was not planning on Ikoria being anything to write home about, but we have gotten some fun toys. The UR flyer with haste and super prowess looks like a ton of fun. The three drop UR guy the copies a spell would have been an auto include if it copied an opponents spell also but could be fun, and if narset is real there may be a really fun standard jeskai list and a lot of really fun new jeskai toys!
I have been running my own build of UR delver for a bit with brineborn cutthroat and have been loving it. Once Ikoria comes out with all the jeskai goodies I may have to get back to jeskai for a bit. I still have my jeskai list built, but haven't had a ton of time to play so I have just been playing UR when I can. I personally love The royal scions in my current build. It does need a deck that can go a little later in the game to get enough value. if you are more aggressive it can feel underwhelming.
I hope everyone is well and I promise I will be posting more often.
This deck looks amazing! I haven't tried the electrodominance package yet, but I have wanted to get a giver into my jeskai deck. Once I get some time to try it I will definitely let you know. Keep us posted because you may have broke it!
I also will have to apologize for being absent from the thread. Like CurdBros, work has been nuts and my graduate program has been... tough. I haven't considered running the Electrodominance package in a delver shell before, but I remember seeing Grixis delver shells running Ancestral Vision when it was first unbanned. It's a card I have in my binder that I sometimes run in the sideboard if the meta is full of UWx control and GBx midrange decks so it's probably really good now because of things are in the meta. Let us know how it works in the meta because I'm extremely interested in how AV works right now.
For me I've been jumping back and forth between Jeskai Nahiri and Grixis Shadow. Here's the Jeskai list if anyone is interested.
I really love some of these decks guys! Modern is great right now. I feel modern is in a place where you can run 4-5 drops and actually get them in play often. I don't know how I played before Force of Negation existed. I relied heavily on spell pierce, but FON is way better. I agree with what Stevomat said that you do need to have some card advantage in the deck right now to succeed and it looks like both of you have that covered.
On another note, I am very excited for the new set. It looks like we are going to get some really cool jeskai goodies!
The new UR mythic wizard looks like a ton of fun. I am not sure how good she will be in play, but she can be a card advantage machine with cards like Izzet Charm, Magus of the Bazaar, etc and also with goblin lore, burning inquiry, etc.
Rielle, the Everwise looks sick indeed. It will be fun to brew with her.
Personally I also love the new white Mothra card
Will definitely try that one in my mono-white deck.
The list I posted above with Electrodominance did very well yesterday. I played four matches in tournament practice on MTGO against a motley crew of decks: Eldrazi & Taxes, CrabVine, UR Thing and Jeskai control (hard control with big Teferi). No tier decks but I won all four matches. I love Modern atm but playing against these two control deck was so boring. zzzzz
Today I switched back to one of my older more aggressive lists:
I obliberated Mono Red Prowess and won against BR Skelemental.
Mana Tithe was awesome in the latter match. My opponent played a similar list to this but also had Yawgmoth, Thran Physician in the deck. I was able to counter Lily T3 with Tithe and Yawgmoth T4 with Snap+Tithe
Edit: Just won another two matches 2-0 against Jeskai Ascendancy and 2-1 against UR Storm. Classic Jeskai Delver rocks again!
Now I have to try Mana Tithe and also the Electrodominance package. I already had enough on my plate with the new cards to brew with and now this! Thanks Stevomat. I agree about modern right now. It's a ton of fun to play right now, especially for a deck like ours that can deal with a wide range of decks. I will likely have a bit more time at the end of this coming week to do a little brewing/playing finally.
I REALLY want to brew up a URw wizards deck with Rielle, the Everwise and I also want tweak my UR prowess list to include Sprite Dragon. I can't wait to see what else comes out. We also have the new Narset coming out as well which is very likely real which could be a great addition to any jeskai midrange/control deck.
Whats going on guys. I hope all of you are doing well and safe.
I was looking at electro dominance after playing it on arena recently and i feel its mega value so seeing it in this forum makes me want to pick up a playset just in case.
It seems very very interesting
Could be very good with spell queller or snapcaster mage. Imagine casting snap caster to block, flash back in one bite to pump snapcaster mage..
Whats your thoughts?

Unfortunately In one Bite is a sorcery so this wouldn't work unless T3feri helps you out.
Since you seem to like Spell Queller they'd all together fit very well in a deck with at least three T3feris.
Otherwise I don't like removal that's not instant speed because you just die to combos like Druid/Vizier or an Inkmoth Nexus with that removal in hand...
So I think she definitely deserves a slot in a lot of our decks. I will definitely be trying her out. I am very happy that she is better than originally thought
She's certainly interesting. Question though: do you think Narset is best in my more midrange Geist style builds or your more dedicated Prowess versions? I can't seem to be able to make an accurate evaluation here.
Honestly she is really tough to evaluate. I think she will fit better in a midrange/control style deck with Geist better than she would in prowess versions. I only say that because she is a 4 drop and because you could have her stick around a little longer to really take advantage of her -2 and her ultimate. I do think she is one of those planeswalkers who is better in actual play than she looks, but I will admit she doesn't jump off the page as a super powerful walker to start. At 4 CMC you have to compare here to Jace the mindsculter and chandra, torch of defiance so she has some tough competition. I will definitely be trying her and I will likely start with a more Geist oriented build than prowess with her.
I don't think Narset looks as good in a vacuum as chandra so she may not be modern playable. My hope is that she is better in play than she seems on paper. I pre-ordered two copies because I have to have the first jeskai planeswalker in my jeskai box. We will see if she works out. I really hope she works out.
The card I am most excited to brew with is Rielle, the Everwise. I really want to give her a try in a wizards build. I haven't had time to brew the deck yet, but I can't wait until I do. I am also excited to add Sprite Dragon into my izzet prowess deck as well. I love winning matches, but I also love the brewing aspect of magic and I only play decks that I have fun with. If I have to give up 2% of my win percentage to play a deck I love instead of burn I will gladly do that.
If nothing else, I own a Shu-Yun EDH, so I'll be getting a copy of Narset for that.
What do you think about Vadrok, Apex of Thunder in our style of deck? Mutating Geist of Saint Traft and giving him evasion could be helpful in certain types of builds. Plus being able to cast a Bolt, Path etc upon mutation could be quite useful.

I actually thought about mutating Vadrok, Apex of Thunder onto Geist of Saint Traft as like a dream play that I definitely want to do. Because I haven't been playing my Geist deck lately I wasn't as excited. I definitely think that is a very playable card as long as you have more non-humans in the deck. It's like a great or bad mantis rider depending on the board state. I definitely think it's worth a try in any more midrange oriented deck.
You guys think those new lands are playable at all? Even as a 1 of? They are fetchable and can be grabbed turn 1 instead of fetching for a shock land and putting it in tapped as is done many times.
The Jeskai tri-land should be fine as a 1-of but I probably won't play it because there is no real need to with all the fetches and shocks in the deck.
Regarding Vadrok, Apex of Thunder, you're thinking too small GofyTomcat1. Casting a Bolt upon mutation sounds good but it says noncreature card, so casting a T3feri or another CMC3 PW again sounds even better
What are everone's thoughts on this card: https://mythicspoiler.com/iko/cards/whirlwindofthought.html
This should be pretty good in a Jeskai Delver build with 21 lands to close out games. Drawing an extra card after each burn spell or PW sounds really strong.

There are just so many cards I want to try from this set. I hadn't thought of whirlwind of thought because it's a 4 drop enchantment, but I will definitely be trying it.
I think the tri-land is an easy include as a 1-of in any tri-color deck. Obviously it's not a great early draw, but fetching for it at the end of turn is just too awesome to not include.
This might not be interesting for everyone here but since this has become my second baby besides Jeskai Delver I'd like to share it with you guys.
If you're interested in the newest and absolutely awesome version of my mono-white deck please click on the spoiler
(and let me know what you think)
I have a win rate of 80% with this against the current Modern meta decks. It's so sweet.
The deck contains 19 Humans which is enough synergy for Champion and Lieutenant which are my latest additions.
Ranger can fetch Giver, Champion, Giant Killer or Bodyguard (or Forge-Tender after SB) - depending on the board state.
If I already have Batterskull in play then a second Stoneforge can grab Ancestral Blade which can be pitched for Force of Virtue.
Giver, Bodyguard, and Selfless Spirit make it hard to kill Hero of Bladehold which will end games very quickly.
Spirit of the Labyrinth, Kor Firewalker, Eidolon of the Rhetoric, and Mirran Crusader from the SB are all living nightmares for a lot of Modern decks
I am looking forward to include Luminous Broodmoth as well but I am not sure what to cut...
Dude!! That list looks sick! The ranger + giant killer combo is super sweet! The list looks cheap too so i think ill buy the whole list and test it out

Thanks, ccc1522. The deck is definitely not perfect. Last four matches I won 2-1 against UR Storm, 2-1 against UR Breach, lost a very close match 1-2 against 8Rack (needed one more turn) and got annihilated 0-2 by Jund a few minutes ago.
I don't know how much the whole deck is on MTGO but if you own most cards anyways I'd be glad to hear your feedback after a few matches.
With Ikoria I'll switch back to Jeskai for sure to try several new builds with Rielle, Vadrok and Whirlwind but it's nice to have at least two different types of decks to switch between. Since I started again 2012 I never ever played green or black. Only UW, WR, UR, mostly UWR and now mono white. When I first played MtG, that was a long time ago from Legends until Mirage, I preferred UB
Edit: @ccc1522:
After a long discussion on FB in a Modern group I implemented a lot of good feedback in the white deck and I'd like to show you the upgraded version
This version is like the list I posted above but on crack. Aether Vial makes the deck so much more powerful. I never played Vial decks before but I instantly fell in love with it. It's a bit more expensive but it's definitely worth it in my opinion.
I'm the same way Stevomat. I have never played Green or Black. I messed around with brewing a Grixis deck at one point, but never finished anything. I pretty much stick to UR or URW. I am so happy that modern is in a place where a mono white deck can work and that a RG midrange deck is tier 1 right now! I do think now that they are moving flash into UB that Dimir will be better in the future. That mono white deck looks amazing and very unique. It's the kind of deck that if it ever went 5-0 in a league people would freak out and pick up all the cards.
I too am very excited for Ikoria spells. Two spells that are kind of under the radar are Fire Prophecy and Of One Mind. Fire prophecy is really tough to evaluate on paper. I need to actual play with it to see if it's any good, but I think it could be great, especially in certain metas where creature based decks are tier 1. Of one Mind looks like a card that any delver deck playing Young Pyromancer might really like. I think it only works out well with Young Pyromancer right now because Delver and Snapcaster are also humans and it needs a non-human. Maybe if the deck also had Brazen Borrower, Vendilion Clique, Brinborn Cuththroat, etc I might be a very playable card. Again, it is one of those cards that really needs reps in practice to see if it actually works in play. Then there are the obvious cards like Rielle, Sprite Dragon, Valdrox, Vadrox, etc.
I really want Reille to work, but I am worried about here 3 toughness as a three drop. I am not a beliver in the "it dies from removal" argument normally, but I would like my three drops to stick around a bit. For that reason I want to try if first in a more tempo oriented build that has other threats that must be answered so the opponent may be slim on removal by the time Rielle comes down. I am also working on finding the perfect amount of looting spells to go in the deck that doesn't hurt the deck, but warrants the inclusion of Rielle. So far I have Izzet Charm as the most obvious inclusion. I was thinking about Jace, Vryn's Prodigy as another wizard that also loots. I need to find one or two more looting style spells that work well in the deck. It will definitely be a wizard based deck as well since so many are wizards.
It's a really fun time to brew. Modern is in a great place right now in my opinion and this new set looks awesome. I cana't wait to see what we call come up with.
I was going to suggest aether vial but i felt that perhaps its good enough without them and it makes it just different which is what i liked.
Do the vials make it more powerful over all? Or are there match ups where its not as good as the version without them?
