I think this is the definitive although I have doubt of if there is something better than the Spellbomb ...
I'm trying Faerie Macabre right now. Opponent tend to focus on non-graveyard plan if Nihil Spellbomb is in play. Faerie Macabre is a good surprise since it less obvious that their graveyard plan is getting screwed. You can also find it with Grisly Salvage and Traverse the Ulvenwald when necessary. It can also give Soulflayer flying when it delved.

I had a question,
How is this more resilient? I see 1 Swamp, so if the opponent does Blood Moon, you can't hard cast Soulflayer on one swamp without a mana dork.
How is it more counterspell resilient? Doesn't seem you're casting any minions differently.
Gravehate? Doesn't seem any more. Until G2 when we can board our charm in.
Sorry for the questions, I stumbled upon this primer and I'm hesitant to build it, so I'm curious to which one I may try as a shell.

It's easy to believe you're a god when you're twice as powerful as everyone else.
Deck is very fun and is giving me very good results in the tests.
I have not needed Traverse the Ulvenwald to find Soulflayer. With the Looting, Commune, Grisly and Grapple is easy. I recommend Grapple with the Past, against Jund / Grixis it has saved my life to recover a Soulflayer in EOT to play it in my next turn.
Sometimes I could play Soluflayer in turn 2 (turn one fetch + Faithless / turn 2 fetch + Soulflayer) but the normal thing is to play it in turn 3 with haste.
Post side is important to protect against hate to graveyard. For this I play Abrupt Decay, Ancient Grudge, Charm and Duress that eliminate 99% of the threats. I think I'll change the Pithing Needle for Lightning Axe to kill the Ooze (Pithing Needle had them against Jace but they are not a big problem).
Rest in Peace and Leyline of the Void are a big problem (especially Leyline) but I have been able to play without the graveyard thanks to inflating the trolls and playing the Vampires from the hand.
Other cards that bother a lot are Deflecting Palm and Skullcrack. Against Red Deck Wins it is very important to win lives with Lifelink and these prevent us.
To fight against Blood Moon, the idea is to remove a fetch or Dragonskull Summit and put one more swamp. You also have to change the Wooded Foothills by Verdant Catacombs (my economy does not allow it ...). I tried it and it works.
Against TRON I did not play so I can not give my opinion.
I hope I have contributed something and any suggestions will be welcome.
PD. Sorry for my English...
I some what agree that at least for basic lands in a Souflayer deck, if you have multiple cards with BB in its cmc, you need at least 2 basic swamps, with the the other 2 being green and white if you have some white cards that you think you need to hardcast. Else double green or +1 mountain is fine as well if you intend to shore up the spreading seas matchup
So long story short I played a few leagues with the Daily list on SCG after loving it and after tweaking it to what I was learning about it, I 5-0'd a Friendly with the following list. List below followed by changes I'm going to make going forward and then spoilered faq/thoughts.
Moving forward I will be running -2 Zetalpa, +1 Hazoret, +1 Reaver and swapping -3 Tyrant for +3 Thrun, the Last Troll. I am confident in these switches (and the deck in general, tbh), but I'll save the explanation for the spoilers so it looks nice.
As for the sideboard, I want to try -2 Thoughtseize +2 Pyroclasm, but I'm less confident about that one
Why only 1 Zetalpa?
This, along with the next couple questions, was a result of direct testing and the card always being underwelming, not being what I needed or losing even after Flaying it away. More importantly, I am not trying to be a double-strike, combo kill you kind of deck.
Apart from being lackluster, other cards just impressed me more, for the reasons below.
Why Chromanticore?
So, again, after testing early leagues, I was losing to opposing aggression, while easily winning any time I had lifelink. Double strike, while obviously great, was still losing me games when it was not paired with lifelnk (ie Zetalpa).
Since vigilance was also acting as a psuedo-double strike allowing for life gain on the attack and the block, I split Reaver/Chromanticore evenly. Generally, having more than 1 copy of a card is not great, although it is for chaining Flayers, it's practically hard to do and you usually want to make the first as good (read diverse) as possible.
Finally, and more sublty, Chromaticore allows for easier Traverse activation, which is incredibly relevant, as I'll explain later.
Why Hazoret?
So, again with testing, Hazoret won me 2 of 13 games in this league, both post board. Indestructible and haste are both very relevant, the former invalidating most removal, and the latter making the deck a turn faster.
Most importantly, the fact that she is also my secondary wincon postboard was crazy good, which really synergizes with the sideboard plan. It also leads to the next question.
Why Thrun?
The main reason for Carnage Tyrant was for hexproof. In 1 out of the 13 games, the trample may have been relevant as I only delved away it and a Bomat on t3 against a delver deck, but it was mostly always overlapped with another instance of trample.
This, along with the Hazoret revelation above (re main deck secondary wincon) made me reconsider my choice of Tyrant (which I chose mostly because I thought it had the most relevant additional ability after hexproof).
I would be surprised if Thrun turns out to be worse than Tyrant and don't foresee going back to it.
Why the anti-hate sideboard?
Well, the original deck had most of the same choices and as I understood it was meant as anti-hate, which I found to be true because you can easily fire one of and then quickly delve out a Flayer.
The specific mix of cards allows for a variety of answers to literally every relevant sideboard hate card. Pithing Needle is my own inclusion and additionally covers the cheap artifacts (Relic of Progenitus, Nihil Spellbomb, Tormod's Crpt) and Scavenging Ooze. The thought with Seize is that it's the perfect catch all.
Now that I have some alternate wincons, I expect this to get better as they just give you more choices with the already versatile sideboard cards. In addition to killing hate and enabling Flayer, they also can disrupt the opponent's main plan enough to then slam one of the 4 drops.
Sylvan Caryatid is particularly good post board to accelerate a 4 drop t3, so I don't recommend cutting her.
I want to try 2 Pyroclasm mainly because 2 for 1'ing an aggressive start after a looting or something seems nice. Golgari Charm overperformed, so it could end up being -1 Pyro +1 Charm.
As for what you are taking out, -4 Grisly Salvage almost every time. It's a great g1 card that can literally set up bonkers t3. When you are bringing in instants/sorceries and battling gy hate, it's not ideal (though I will keep in a couple against certain decks/hate cards). After that, I'm normally shaving a Flayer, a few delve fodder fatties and some number of Couriers and Trolls, depending how much hate I plan to see or how many SB cards I'm bringing in.
Why no gy hate?
So in testing, for this deck and in general right now, I have not been impressed with direct gy hate with the current metagame. The decks that use the gy are just not crippled enough by anything other than RIP so I think gy hate is a trap right now. I just think there are more impactful things you could be doing.
Only one Swamp?
So the idea with this one is that your sideboard is already so capable to dealing with a Blood Moon (and Hazoret laughs at it). I'd rather my first two fetches get Forest Swamp to cast all my potential outs, than a Flayer that I'm usually boarding down on anyway. Sometimes all you need is a forest for Nature's Claim!
All that being said, it would definitely be my first consideration in any changes to the mana base, which has been lovely, I might add.
So what's with Bomat Courier?
Bomat enables t2 Traverse into t3 Soulflayer by holding priority when casting Traverse and then activating Courier's ability, ideally with 2 cards underneath. As log as you can also enable Delirium, which shouldn't be too hard considering Courier itself is 2 out of 4, you can then tutor the Flayer and delve any fatties that you discarded, including the Courier itself for haste!
To this end, Chromanticore is the 1 fatty I would consider upping to 4, but I don't think it's necessary. It has, however, been great at 3 and can enable Delirium with Looting and a fetchland, which also sets up a t2 traverse into t3 Flayer.
Another cool application that happened a couple of times (and unsurprisingly lead to wins) was flipping a Flayer with Courier's exiled cards, which triggers before Traverse actually resolves, which then allows you to search for a Hazoret (or Thrun now) to really shut the door.
So is it consistent?
All I can say is yes, believe me. I consistently played a Soulflayer in g1 of almost every match I've played. Traverse is a messed up magic card. That being said, it also was not that difficult to play another Flayer within a couple of turns of the first one.
All that being said, you have to be VERY careful with what you delve so that you balance having fatties for the next Flayer, but also keeping Delirium (or as close to it as possible) for the next Traverse.
Congratz on 5-0! I've also been testing a deck with 3~4 Chromanticore for more consistent delirium and lifelink for Soulflayer. I personally prefer double strike over lifelink so I think I'll stick with 4 zetalpa 4 drogskol and 1 chromanticore for now. I like your Hazoret and Thrun in the mainboard for secondary wincon.
Why no gy hate?
So in testing, for this deck and in general right now, I have not been impressed with direct gy hate with the current metagame. The decks that use the gy are just not crippled enough by anything other than RIP so I think gy hate is a trap right now. I just think there are more impactful things you could be doing
This is interesting. It makes me reconsider my sideboard choices for sure.
Are you ever planning to challenge a competitive league? I feel like your deck can do well!

@ booglewo Congrats, on 5-0.
2nd win con seems very solid.
your take on GY hate is interesting. I have been considering the same thing. Torpor orb has been my latest choice for GY hate for all the jeskia decks and some other decks out there.
I am currently build a SoulFlayer will try out a few ideas later.
Comparing this deck to my previous 5-0 deck, it should be a lot faster(thanks to Samut, Voice of Dissent) and delirium should be easier to attain with 4 Chromanticore. I'm playing Mana Confluence now because it important to have option to hardcast Chromanticore against grindy match up. Only drawback I see is there is less flying creature (no Flamewake Phoenix) which can hurt against some match up. Overall the deck feels more complete. I will start playing in competitive leagues again once people stop playing Boggles so much.
Awesome to see the innovation here and grats on the 5-0, Boogelawoof. I snagged one in a friendly as well, looks like the deck has legs to get there. Online I play 1 Thrun in the main and 2 Pyroclasm in the side, fans of both of them. Humans, Elves, Affinity, Burn and other small creature decks can still overrun us. It's a tradeoff of CMC vs damage dealt, but I still think it's better than Anger of the Gods.
I headed to the LGS tonight to give it a try in paper and went 3-0 in our free modern night. There's good competition there, tonight there were 40 players.
I'm still trying a few things which is why there are more 2-3 ofs instead of a more stable list. Most of our games are all about Soulflayer which is why I went away from Flamewake Phoenix. Bomat Courier is good at getting delirum online and can chump if necessary. The sack ability is nice but doesn't come up often. Lightning Axe and Lingering Souls main are to have a little more diversity game 1 against aggressive decks and to free up some SB spots.
Match 1 - Dredge, win Game 1: I win the roll and loot away Zetalpa and Bomat, then play a Lotleth Troll turn 2. His dredge is epic and he has 12+ power by turn 3. I do get a T3 Soulflayer out but w/o lifelink it can't stand up to attacks and Conflagrate kills me. Sideboard - nothing ha. I've contemplated Surgical in the SB but didn't put it in today. Pyroclasm isn't worth the delay. Game 2 and 3: His dredges are way more mild and a lifelinking Soulflayer made quick work of things. Lifelink and indestructible/hexproof are the 2 best keywords, winning races and avoiding conflagrate as removal.
Match 2 - Lantern Control, win Game 1: He wins the roll, Island into Glimmervoid + Inquisition and Pixis of Pandemonium by turn 2 queues me off. I think I even Soulflayer'd T2 but T3 he casts a bridge and I play a few more turns before packing it in when he gets Lantern/Codex Shredder online. Hazoret is the only MB answer and is easily dealt with via Pithing Needle. Sideboard - tons of stuff
+2 Ancient Grudge, +2 Abrupt Decay, +2 Pithing Needle, +3 Thoughtseize
-2 Lightning Axe, -2 Lingering Souls, -2 Sylvan Caryatid, -1 Bomat Courier, -1 Chromanticore, -1 Insolent Neonate Game 2: I land a T2 Lotleth and start to punch in while he gets setup. I have an Ancient Grudge in hand but he got out 2 Ensnaring Bridges and a Grafdiggers Cage. During one of my Grisly Salvages another Grudge ends up in the yard but is locked down via cage. Over his end step and my main phase, I fire off the one in my hand at his cage and then flashback both to take care of the Bridges. Lotleth resumes beating him down to 1 but he finds a Whir of Invention and lands another Bridge. He has the Lantern/Codex lock so I know drawing Abrupt Decay for the Bridge is out of the question. Here's where he made a misstep - after my draw step, Hazoret is flipped as the top card. He had a Leyline of Sanctity out and must have assumed it protects him. I go to Grisly Salvage and he let's it resolve, so I insta grab Hazoret and pass turn, playing it out next turn. He had another Whir on top and I thought I was toast to Pithing Needle, but he casts it for a lot and grabs Witchbane Orb! Pass back to me, tap 3, 2 damage to each player? Game 3! Game 3: There was about 10 minutes left so this was a fast one. No hate in my draw, but there is a looting and a troll. My looting grabs me an Ancient Grudge and I later drew an Abrupt Decay. He drew IoK but played a Bridge with all his mana, and he had a cage/shredder from a previous turn. I draw Pithing Needle but am on 2 lands. I decide Needle'ing the Shredder will help in the long run, and the IoK can only grab 1 piece of hate, leaving me 2 artifact destructions. I slog through the cage and the bridge, all the while his top decks are shown w/ Lantern and he can't manipulate them w/ the Shredder locked down.
I shouldn't have won game 2 and I think this is a tough matchup. I think this deck and Affinity are the main reasons for Ancient Grudge, but I was thankful for it.
Match 3 - Grixis DS, win Game 1: The laughs/interest from the T1 sighting of Zetalpa or Drogskol are always heart warming. He won the roll and Inquisition'd my Faithless Looting, revealing Troll and some delve fodder in my hand. My next top deck is Soulflayer and I hope to fade Thoughtseize for 2 turns. He gets to 10 and plays a Shadow, I pass turn with a non-haste Hexproof/Flying/Double Striking Soulflayer. I chump his Shadow with Bomat and swing for lethal when he realizes the Troll will trample of his Snapcaster targetting Thoughtscour (only 3 mana up but a Deadbore in the yard). Troll is an awesome card between his infinite discard and regeneration. Sideboard
+2 Abrupt Decay, +1 Dreadbore, +3 Thoughtseize
-2 Insolent Neonate, -2 Bomat, -2 Traverse
I probably board wrong but I'm expecting GY hate so I dial down the delirium package. The Thoughtseize is from recent matches with 4C Shadow where we just don't have enough removal if things don't go smooth. We have a lot of ways to pitch cards so it's not the worst top deck. Game 2: He T1 insta-passes and I'm thankful for the TS in my opener. I snag a Liliana of the Veil which can be rough for us. He's got a Tasigur, Dismember, Thoughtscour and lands left. He T2 IoK's me revealing Drogskol, Lightning Axe, Grisly Salvage and Traverse + Lands. He is in the tank for a while but snags the Grisly Salvage thinking that my threats are stronger than his. He plays Tasigur and passes. I drew my second Lightning Axe wishing he took my first, play a land and Axe'd Tasigur, then Traversed for a Soulflayer. T2 Traverse is a significant consistency boost and made me appreciate the additional 1 cmc discard outlets (Axe and Neonate, more the former). He casts another Thoughtscour and lands another Tasigur. I have Axe and Soulflayer in hand but know that I'm far away his Dismember hanging around. I hope for a Sylvan Caryatid on top as Axe fuel and my deck delivers. Insta-axe Tasigur and cast a hexproof, flying lifestealing demon. I fade Liliana for 2 turns and get there.
I really enjoy the deck, mainly that it has so many crucial decisions T1 / T2 but can keep up a longer game plan if needed w/ Looting and Traverse. It is good to have a proactive strategy in modern and one that avoids opponents removal is a big leg up. I will keep playing and tuning the deck in the near future.

Jeskai Control 2-0
Blue Moon 1-2
RG Ponza 2-1
Mono-Green Tron 1-2
Eldrazi Tron 2-0
I would of won against Blue Moon if I played my Cavern of Souls after cracking Blood Moon with Abrupt Decay in my hand. I did the opposite and couldn't choose a creature type for Cavern.
There's not much I can do against Mono-Green Tron, got to wait for Damping Sphere to come out soon. I really like Damping Sphere because it can increase Soulflayer's mana cost which lets us delve for extra card. This can be helpful in some circumstance.

Burn 0-2
UR Storm 2-0
UR Storm 2-0
5 Color Humans 2-0
Mardu Pyromancer 2-0
Samut, Voice of Dissent was the MVP for most games. Against Humans it surprise blocked a Meddling Mage that was forbidding me from playing Soulflayer. Against Storm it helped me win quickly by giving Soulflayer haste and double strike. I made a misplay of playing Soulflayer on second main when it could of attacked since Samut was out in play against Mardu Pyromancer.
Overall I think this deck is consistent and it only a matter of time until I win 5-0 again.

Your list looks really good yuseimax, I'm digging the push towards Traverse. Cavern as a tutor looks really good against control where I think countermagic is their only answer to a hexproof/indestructbile Flayer.
I've found burn to be pretty tough but your 5 lifelinker fodder and Brutality in the side may be as good as it will get.
I've seen 4 Ancient Grudge in a lot of SBs. Why so many? I've found the main matchups for it to be Affinity and Lantern. I think it's good against Infect too which is a really bad matchup imo.
Keep on flayin!

Hey all, I've been playing many variations of the deck and having a lot of fun with it. I want to build the deck in person but don't have the money to shell out for the fetchlands that I don't have. The deck can still be good as a budget with a little tweaking, and I was wondering if someone could entertain me and lend me their thoughts. I figured the deck would function best as black/green so I went with that. Any help is appreciated, especially with the mana! It's especially frustrating running the uktabi drake and having my only green source come into play tapped...
1-2 Dredge
1-2 Burn
2-1 Restore Balance (pretty sweet deck actually, updated with md bloodmoon, sweltering suns, nahiri, ajani)
2-0 Jeskai Control
2-0 Hollow One
I gotta say, the courier/traverse/looting/salvage/lotleth/caryatid core is a dream. I think that core is really what gives the deck its power and consistency. It really feels like the creatures you end up pitching can be endlessly mixed and matched depending on what you want to accomplish and what your metagame consists of.
Flying and trample give you evasion. Double-strike and haste basically end games quickly. Lifelink and Vigilance allow you to race. Hexproof and Indestructible give you resiliency.
Whatever direction you take, as I said earlier, the core is there, so I encourage people to tailor the creature pitches to their metagame and test for more info.
Samut really takes the deck in that more aggressive, kill-you direction that I have definitely missed in some games that I just wanted to close it out. I'm going to go -1 zetalpa, +1 samut keeping an eye on the tough trim that I will likely want for the second Samut. It may seem easy to just cut down to 18 lands, but I can't recommend it. The mana has really been a dream. Thrun is high on the list to shave down to 2.
As for the board, I'm going to try -2 lightning axe +2 pyroclasm and rely on the lotleth troll regeneration against goyf/gurmag. I miss the sweeper, what can I say.
General Thoughts:
Thrun
Thrun single-handedly won me g1 against jeskai. Hexproof is so nice against path and random things like searing blaze and demonic dread.
Hazoret
Hazoret is just so good in this deck. It's almost always turned on, g1 or otherwise. Haste is sooo good in combination with the other abilities.
GY Hate
of course when I cut gy hate I get dredge. That being said, I still think the better answer would be anger of the gods, rather than gy hate.
Obviously some decks will still want it, but I think most just want to do their thing.
Thoughtseize
So thoughtseize is not just needed against counters, but they are so nice against tron and other high cmc decks. I thought I would want less with thrun, but that has not been the case
Lightning Axe/Pyroclasm
I haven't brought it in a lot, and while it's great when I do, I feel like I've wanted pyroclasm more. It's even nice against burn, which btw, I think is not that bad of a matchup. You can just win games with a quick lifelinker.
Grisly Salvage
I've actually been keeping in a couple more now. Not only is it great to reload after killing hate, it's also an instant, which is super nice for traverse if you aren't loading up on SB instants
@Kruphyx
Your decklist looks sweet! I would start from removing any land that comes into play tapped like Hissing Quagmire, Evolving Wilds, and Temple of Malady. It doesn't seem like a problem playing them on turn 1 but since you only play 19 land there is high chance that you'll have another tap land on turn 2 and/or 3. I think it important to have mana to set up the graveyard during those turns. I'd consider using Woodland Cemetery, Blooming Marsh, Overgrown Tomb and even few more swamps.

@Boogelawoof I'm glad to see you playing at competitive league!
I've been wanting to play at least 1 Thrun, the Last Troll in my mainboard but I couldn't decide what to take out.
I really recommend playing atleast 2 Samut, Voice of Dissent because combination of haste and double strike is pretty good, but it seems like your doing fine without it (plus I wouldn't know what to remove from your deck).
I miss playing board wipes in my sideboard too. Anger of the Gods would really help fight Dredge, Humans and Elf but I'm afraid it'll exile my own Lotleth Troll. It might even be worth it actually. I won't play Damnation for sure because 4 mana board wipe is too slow and it'll cost 5 mana if Thalia, Guardian of Thraben is in play.
I can see your deck win 5-0 at competitive league at some point. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback yuseimax! I have been testing a version close to yours and have since included a few collective brutality mainboard, it has consistently been useful. Especially in control matchups where you discard cards as a casting cost. Speaking of matchups vs control, these games feel outright outwinnable at times without drawing savage summoning. Counterspell or targeted discard, these matchups are rough when the deck is very one trick and the best thing you can do is feed the troll or play caryatids with delusional optimism that you'll actually cast a fatty in your deck like zetalpa. Basically, half of the deck are creatures that are virtually impossible to play so you're stuck with a lot of dead draws. Are there any ways to remedy this? How do I have better matchups vs control? I've seen some lists in the thread that try to take the approach of having an alternate game plan of being able to actually play your creatures but they end up being bad aggro decks and even worse midrange decks because of the lack of interaction. Maybe scale back the discard fodder and discard spells to rely on the grisly salvage and include more main deck interactive cards? I thought about lingering souls and unburial rites but that gameplan seems to flop when they include graveyard hate.
I'm currently testing this deck. It mainly replaces Bomat Courier with Commune with the Gods and Lingering Souls. I've been wanting to replace Bomat for something that helps find Soulflayer on its own like Commune with the Gods. I added one Worship so I can grab it with Commune, and to screw with opponent's game plan. After seeing Worship on game 1, opponent will most likely side in enchantment hate in addition to graveyard hate which will replace multiple spots in their mainboard. This will slow down opponent's game plan and increase opportunity for us to play Soulflayer. Vice versa, if we win game 1 without revealing Worship, opponent will most likely not have an answer to it on game 2. I added Lingering Souls because it good with Worship and it a great value card.
I am planning to play this deck in competitive league after everyone starts using Damping Sphere and there are less Tron and Storm in the meta. Neither Lingering Souls or Worship is useful against Tron and Storm. In my opinion, it better to play Bomat Courier in the current meta.
Nice deck! I think Fauna Shaman is a good replacement for Lotleth Troll and Traverse the Ulvenwald since it can also be used as discard outlet and tutor spell. I don't like Satyr Wayfinder since it can't grab a Soulflayer. How consistent can you find Soullfayer with your deck? As long as you can find Soulflayer within turn 4 consistently I don't think you need a satyr.

I still miss birds of paradise a lot, but I prefer keep lotleth troll, he is REALLY strong in some matches. Maybe I can put Birds in the Bomat slot. What do you think? Sometimes Bomat dies and I loose the exiled cards. He's just good to reach the delirium.
RG Ponza 2-0
Jund 2-1
RB Hollow One 2-0
WU Control 2-1
Mardu Pyromancer 2-0
Compared to my first 5-0 deck this deck has better chance of having good opening hand. It is also more consistent at activating delirium. Because I run 4 Samut, Voice of Dissent, this deck is comparatively a lot faster. Having some removal spells in the mainboard is helpful against many top tier decks. Damping Sphere from the new set really helps fight off match ups that were awful before like Tron, and Storm.
It time for me to take some break from competitive league..
Added deck tags.

Why only 1 Zetalpa?
Apart from being lackluster, other cards just impressed me more, for the reasons below.

Most importantly, the fact that she is also my secondary wincon postboard was crazy good, which really synergizes with the sideboard plan. It also leads to the next question.
This, along with the Hazoret revelation above (re main deck secondary wincon) made me reconsider my choice of Tyrant (which I chose mostly because I thought it had the most relevant additional ability after hexproof).

All that being said, it would definitely be my first consideration in any changes to the mana base, which has been lovely, I might add.
All that being said, you have to be VERY careful with what you delve so that you balance having fatties for the next Flayer, but also keeping Delirium (or as close to it as possible) for the next Traverse.
This is interesting. It makes me reconsider my sideboard choices for sure.
Are you ever planning to challenge a competitive league? I feel like your deck can do well!

Match 1 - Dredge, win
Game 1: I win the roll and loot away Zetalpa and Bomat, then play a Lotleth Troll turn 2.
Match 2 - Lantern Control, win
Game 1: He wins the roll, Island into Glimmervoid + Inquisition and Pixis of Pandemonium by turn 2 queues me off.
-2 Lightning Axe, -2 Lingering Souls, -2 Sylvan Caryatid, -1 Bomat Courier, -1 Chromanticore, -1 Insolent Neonate
Game 2: I land a T2 Lotleth and start to punch in while he gets setup.
Match 3 - Grixis DS, win
Game 1: The laughs/interest from the T1 sighting of Zetalpa or Drogskol are always heart warming.

I would of won against Blue Moon if I played my Cavern of Souls after cracking Blood Moon with Abrupt Decay in my hand. I did the opposite and couldn't choose a creature type for Cavern.
Key to beating RG Ponza is to keep a hand with Traverse the Ulvenwald or Sylvan Caryatid.
There's not much I can do against Mono-Green Tron, got to wait for Damping Sphere to come out soon. I really like Damping Sphere because it can increase Soulflayer's mana cost which lets us delve for extra card. This can be helpful in some circumstance.

Thrun
Hazoret
GY Hate
Obviously some decks will still want it, but I think most just want to do their thing.
Thoughtseize
Lightning Axe/Pyroclasm
Grisly Salvage
P.S. Traverse is a silly card.

I think the big difference in my list is Fauna Shaman. What y'all think about this card? I've tested and it's a great tutor.
Another difference is my SB, that I prefer to use creatures to be tutorable.
I'm thinking to test Satyr Wayfinder... it can be a blocker to save your ass for a while

I still miss birds of paradise a lot, but I prefer keep lotleth troll, he is REALLY strong in some matches. Maybe I can put Birds in the Bomat slot. What do you think? Sometimes Bomat dies and I loose the exiled cards. He's just good to reach the delirium.
Just 2x traverse the ulvenwald is enough.
