Is anyone still reading this thread? Because if they are, Titan of Erebos seems sweet. We are running a ton of removal, so as long as we have instant-speed removal ready to respond to a creature + a removal spell, we basically have a 4 mana 5/5 that only dies to Path to Exile and Dismember (there is also the other ability which I guess will sometimes come up against delve). Thoughts?
I think he may be more worth it. Mana cost is a little rough, but that's what Urbagorg, tomb of Yergmarth is for. Having to recast him (Without a haste outlet) may be bad, but he's I think he's better than BBoV solely for the cheaper, more Bob-able cost and extra power (Though the loss of LIfelink hurts).
I'll test him out if I can get ahold of him.

Welcome back! I still really like Blood Baron though. Unlike Erebos's Titan it stabilizes you immediately and it can't be Pathed or chump-blocked (or Terminated if they can cast a creature in the same turn as a kill spell). Also, what do you think of Wretched Banquet? I just want to know before I go to the Modern Premier IQ on Sunday.
Seems good in your deck, Valanarch. You're basically only playing fat finishers, so it should be 'on' most of the time. And given your other, less conditional kills spells, I have a hard time believing it won't simply be a fantastically undercosted kill spell about 95% of the time.

I guess I'll see how well it works. I hope you are right though. It might not be Innocent Blood, but until that is reprinted it can be similar.
So, without going into too much detail (PLAY MISTAKES EVERYWHERE!)
I went 2-4, beating Bogle and Bogle and losing to Jund, Storm, Grixis Twin, and UB Gary.
Turns out Crackling Doom just kinda wins games against Bogle.
Storm is definitely a terrible matchup without sideboarded Slaughter Games and Mardu Charms. Jund and Twin should be favorable though. Can I see your list? Also, what is UB Gary?
I lost 0-2 in round 1 to UR Twin. In game 1 he countered my threats for several turns but I eventually was run out of removal, which he knew about because he cast a Peek. He then comboed off with Dispel backup.
I sided out Wretched Banquet (terrible against flash), Grave Titan (never going to resolve), and 2 Dreadbores (sorcery speed is too slow). I brought in Suppression Field and Slaughter Games (which was probably too much combo hate but I thought my removal could handle his creatures).
In game 2 he killed my Pack Rat and I had to spend 2 removal spells on a Spellskite, but then I cast Slaughter Games. I was able to safely cast spells, but he had 2 Snapcaster Mages, 2 Bolts, and 2 Electrolyzes and he burnt me out from 16 life while I was stuck at 4 lands with a Blood Baron in hand.
In round 2 I won 2-1 against Junk. In game 1 I bolted his Bob and then cast a Lingering Souls. He casted one of his own but I had a second Souls and a Blood Baron to lock things up.
I sided in nothing.
In game 2 he made me discard my Blood Baron. Then we both cast Lingering Souls, but he cast Scavenging Ooze to exile mine before I could flash it back. I bolted the Ooze and got him down to 1 token. I cast another Souls, drew my 5th land, and cast another Blood Baron, but he had Golgari Charm and then used Liliana to kill Blood Baron. I Dreadbored Liliana and started swinging with Lavaclaw Reaches, but he found another Souls and killed me with it and Treetop Village.
In game he made me discard Dreadbore and Mardu Charm, but I cast a turn 2 Pack Rat. I then made a token and Bolted his Goyf. He cast Damnation to clean up the board. We traded Lingering Souls for a while and he Ghost Quartered my Lavaclaw Reaches, but I got my 6th land and cast Grave Titan, which quickly killed him.
I lost in 2 games against Infect. In game 1 he cast Wild Defiance which stopped my Bolt and then cast Distortion Strike to get an Inkmoth Nexus past Lingering Souls.
I took out Grave Titan and Blood Baron and brought in Suppression Field.
In game 2 I killed his early threats and then cast Suppression Field to lock down his Inkmoths. Unfortunately, I didn't draw a wincon and then made a massive mistake. I forgot to fetch at the end of his turn, and I couldn't the next turn because of Suppression Field. This left me without enough mana to pay for his Spell Pierce and he hit me for 7 poison. I hung on for a few more turns but soon was killed. Suppression Field is absurd against them though.
In round 4 I got paired against WB Tokens. It went better than expected, but I was still crushed. I was having trouble finding my finishers. My Blood Baron got Thoughtseized in game 1 and then I didn't draw anything else. In game 2 I didn't have double black for Grave Titan and my Souls tokens got hit by Zealous Persecution. I'm dropping now and joining the Modern challenge event.
I got paired against Burn. I lost in game 1 as expected, sided in my usual Burn hate, mulliganned to 5, didn't draw any, my opponent kept a hand with no creatures and easily crushed me.

Borrowed heavily, but I tried a Erebos's Titan (Not impressed), 4 Terminate, 4 Bolt, 3 Helix, 4 Lingering Souls, 4 Sorin, LoI, 4 Bobs, 3 Pack Rats. Can't remember the rest (Had to piecemeal the entire deck due to leaving my own cards at my parents' house, just recently moved).
Losing to Twin was my own fault; game 1 we went to T23 (Yes, T23) before I ran out of removal, and G2 I wasn't paying attention and tapped out T3.
Mono-B devotion with a splash of Blue to enable counter magic shenanigans.

Good card to consider for the board, in my opinion, is Rakdos Charm. Straight up beats Twin when they've just fought through your removal suite, hurts any grave strategy, and has artifact destruction. I'd rather have Kolaghan's Command MD, but I'd side it in for Twin.
I believe I saw a recent Gerry T article where he had a 1 of Timely Reinforcements maindeck in a Modern deck as a hedge against burn. If staying alive until Blood Baron of Vizkopa is that much of a concern, maybe try maindecking 2 of them. I also don't hate trying to make 2 maindeck Surgical Extractions happen. If making 2 spaces, probably drop a pair of Shriekmaw. If you had to fit 4 cards for Extractions as well, maybe lose the last Shriekmaw and 1...I dunno, Kolaghan's Command?
This would give you the extra life buffer against Burn, as well as the potential to kill off and then remove one of the best cards in their deck, not to mention having a mana free answer to T2 Grishoalbrand. Stick 2 of the removed cards back into the board (1 each Shriekmaw and Command probably) or pick another couple of spells that could be helpful. This is all just spitballing, no games to back up the thoughts. I like the deck tho and the idea of this deck was encouraging to one of my friends who was worried Modern would be too expensive for him to consider trying. Considering he has had some success w/a creatureless Mardu Planeswalkers in Standard, this seemed like something he would enjoy. Plus he still has the BB leftover from last Standard.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

An actually winnable game 1 against Burn, a better gameplan against Twin, more ways to deal with noncreature permanents, and a playable manland.
This is what I am thinking of.
4 Huntmaster of the Fells
4 Thragtusk
3 Thrun, the Last Troll
4 Abrupt Decay
4 Lightning Bolt
2 Putrefy
4 Terminate
1 Dreadbore
4 Maelstrom Pulse
4 Wretched Banquet
2 Blood Crypt
4 Bloodstained Mire
3 Forest
2 Mountain
2 Overgrown Tomb
4 Raging Ravine
1 Stomping Ground
3 Swamp
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Leyline of Sanctity
3 Feed the Clan
4 Jund Charm
4 Slaughter Games

Yeah, yeah it did
Also, I'd rather have Ajani Vengeant than either Elspeth, a couple Disenchant in SB instead of all 4 Slaughter Games, and probably a Surgical Extraction or two.
