Death's Shadow is actually a great example of why no one plays RUG anymore. Tarmogoyf and Death's Shadow are just too big to kill with bolt or even Roast these days. You need Path to Exile or Fatal Push.
I am going to be testing like crazy and seeing if Ancestral Vision is worth including, would likely cut Jace for those but time will tell. I'll have more to report after some real testing
that seems sweet, both BBE and Jace, but i can't see playing both as a 4-off, 8 4 drops seems too greedy.
I'm starting with 4x BBE and 2x Jace, since that's what I own. Jace is also a bit tougher to remove, Legendary, and costs
Currently testing this list, I'm trying to play as much of a GRu deck as possible since Field of Ruin is like chlamydia now. (It's everywhere ) Oath of Nissa is just the best cantrip in this list since it grabs everything but Lightning Bolt and I never want blue lands if I can help it. Oath also lets us cast Jace for RRRG so we don't even have to let them know there's blue in the list Game 1 if we don't draw him.
Unfortunately, it seems like there's nothing really unconditionally awesome to cascade into in our colors (other than Visions, which I don't have) the best thing I've found is a 4/4 Flying Angel. Tons of options are good against specific decks but nothing is just a home run play like Kolaghan's Command would be in Jund. Big Knucks is adorable but he has no evasion and loses combat to Angler/Tasigur (unless you spend three more mana, which we'd rather tap to cast Jace) and Shadow basically always.
The maybeboard is huge right now, things like Pulse of Murasa or Time to Feed at least give us a + matchup against Burn, which I feel is going to be popular as everyone tries to break Jace in control decks. I'm not sure we can ever race them preboard but I haven't run into the matchup yet so who knows.
Against midrange strategies we cast stuff ahead of curve and eventually draw Jace on a complicated board, so that can't be awful.
I've recently been playing a Tempur Flash deck against some of my friends, however I have yet to take it to FNM. It does seem promising, and is very fun to play!
The goal is to play a Flash game in order to flip Huntmaster consistently, while also threatening to the potential Kiki combo. Advocate is a poor-man's Goyf, obviously.
Overall the deck is very consistent. The 2 and 3 drop creatures allow for an alternative beatdown plan, and the Keranos allows for a long-game depending on the matchup.
I could see Bloodbraid in the deck as well, however the counterspells would need to come out to make the hits more reliable. That is a slightly different deck, similar to the ones outlined above.
So this is where I'm at with RUG. I saw Reid Duke's most recent list and decided to mess around in Temur again. The main issue I had with Reid's list was that Ancestral Visions is just so clunky in so many matchups, if you're not planning on being able to BBE it or As Foretold it. I also found his mana base a bit clunky. I'm thinking about a 2/2 split on Visions/Opt, but Visions is just so ridiculously good at setting up draws. The card that's been particularly interesting for me is Atarka's Command, since it usually reads: Bolt target player and go up a land drop, which is great turn 2 or 3. It's also a reasonable answer to Souls tokens and flyers. I'll probably switch Spite of Mogis back to Harvest Pyre, but I do like the 1-mana scry- especially with Snapcasters.
I'm trying out the Staticaster to better answer Young Pyromancer- based decks. I would like to squeeze in some Anger of the Gods into the board, probably in place of Keranos and a Scooze, but I'm seeing a lot of Dredge lately, and Scooze just kind of dumpsters Dredge when you can protect it. Keranos is a great trump card against midgrange too.

It seems to be a good time to play Threads of Disloyalty (which is also easier for this deck to use effectively than Vedalken Shackles).
Abrupt Decay is also on the decline because of Fatal Push in BG/x decks.
Maybe Harvest Pyre can be another (better than Roast) option to deal with big creatures, like a (worse) red Murderous Cut.
Overall RUG colors seem more suited for a tempo (delver-like) strategy rather than true midrange (or control).
Btw, here is a recent RUG deck that focuses mainly on mana/color denial - http://www.mtgtop8.com/event?e=14767&d=288925&f=MO
