I've been sporadically brewing bant, and hope this thread picks up some speed. The control list sure seems interesting, tho i like midrange more. Here is my current list, not smooth by any means but u get the idea. Any suggestions w'd be appreciated..

There is a very active thread here that focuses on Knightfall (and Bant Company), which is probably how I'd categorize your list. You'll get more feedback over there!
Not sure if this list really belongs here because it's sort of become more of a control/tempo deck it seems. Here's the list I've been working on and have done quite well with lately on Xmage.
The deck basically plays out like a more aggressive version of UW Control. Hierarch is just amazing at accelerating you into your tempo moves like T2 Remand (or queller), T3 Cryptic Command (or Snap - Remand), Baneslayer Angel a turn early if needed, etc. In similar fashion to Jeskai being able to burn out the opponent, Bant gives us a bit more of a beat down element and Hierarch makes things like Snap and Queller into decent beatdown creatures.
So the most obvious omission is Tarmogoyf, and not because of budget as the deck as it is already clocks in around $1500USD. I found in testing that it was just a total lightning rod for removal and didn't do much to help me come back from behind and didn't really represent any form of interaction or tempo gain. Baneslayer Angel is great and is excellent at helping you come back from behind. Other good finishers I've tried are Archangel Avacyn, Elspeth, Knight-Errant (Turns Snap into quite the beater, but dies easy to aggro), and Tireless Tracker (Again, lightning rod for removal).
The deck is far from tuned and can very likely become way better. If anyone has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.
You could cut the Azcantas and take a more creature-centric approach by adding Restoration Angel/Vendilion Clique, which makes sense since you're playing Hierarchs/Dromoka's Command/no Verdicts and generally are playing on the opponents turn. If going down this route, Baneslayer Angel should probably go in the sideboard.
