Is there anyone who plays BW? I love that color combination for additional lingering souls, and good sideboard. For example Hide // Seek is amazing against any Nahiri shell and Scapeshift combo.
Also, with te BW we're able to play Soring, Solemn Visitor, who adds a lot of pressure in a game.

Wrath is for big creature decks like Company and Eldrazi. It's expensive and I don't like running too many sweeper so I only have one.
Stony is good for Affinity and helps in Tron. Always a mainstay
Rest in Peace is good against graveyard combos.
Mindcensor can screw with grindy decks really well. It hurts Valakut quite a bit, which makes it super valuable there. Leonin Arbiter is trash because it dies to everything, but Mindcensor has flash, and they can't bypass the effect without killing it.
Selfless Spirit is for the grindy decks with sweepers, like Jeskai Harbinger, Mardu Nahiri, Jund, Eldrazi. Very effective against Engineered Explosives.
Leyline is almost exclusively for the Valakut deck, but is also fantastic against disruption decks.
Blessed Alliance deals with Infect, Primeval and Inferno Titan, and random decks with big creatures.
Auriok Champion is based against Jund and Grixis. Really, really good at not dying. You can also bring it in against zoo to provide further walls for their creatures. You generally bring in a lot of these.
I thought about playing a couple of Thalia's in the deck, let me know how it works for you.
I feel like you should also consider Return to the Ranks in your SB. It's a great card against the grindy matchups. I personally think that it's better than Selfless Spirit, unless you see a lot of Anger of the Gods.
Auriok Champion... I don't think you need to waste some SB slots for her unless you just see a bunch of Jund/Grixis in your meta. Even then, I rather fit her in the main than in the side. I took her out near the end of August and I haven't looked back.

My favorite Soul Sisters build is BW. It's the build that I'm most comfortable with. The only card that I play is Lingering Souls. You generally don't want to add more than that. I feel the more you add, the more the deck becomes a worse version of BW Tokens.
@Jex: I think I agree on Arbiter, though I'm considering a 1/1 Mindcensor/Grafdigger's Cage split just to have the versatility of hating greaveyard decks a little more, as well. Arbiter isn't doing enough to stop Nahiri, because they can just pay to get around it.
The big question to ask with budget builds is: What are you trying to do with your budget build? Are you trying to have similar gameplay to the full list while you save up or are you just trying something spicy because you have the cards? It's hard to give advice when we don't know your objectives. If it's the former, I'd recommend replacing Serra with a budget beater like Champion of the Parish, Student of Warfare or Figure of Destiny. Serene Steward is also fine to create Pridemates that can beat on the fly. Suture Priest is fine for Ranger since you typically want more Sisters with from Ranger, anyway. Mentor of the Meek may be helpful there, too.
I'm going to try to have a sizeable update to the Primer in the next couple days, so thanks everyone for putting stuff on my radar. I've been back on the following lists for the past 2 weeks and I'm 3-3-1, which is unfortunate. Wins over UW Spirits, Elves, Ramp, losses to Jund, UWR Nahiri and Bant Eldrazi (draw was RW Nahiri, which was because of me misplaying.)
Notes:
I’ve liked the main deck Blessed Alliance. It works as the fourth Path when I need it to, but it also has generated tons of value as a way to suddenly turn on Serra to protect it (or kill a creature while gaining life) or turn on Pridemate to throw off combat math. Still deciding how much I like it, but it is nice to not auto lose game 1 to infect and boggles.
Serra has turned herself on with relative ease in a lot of games. The mass of tokens is really strong for that.
Pridemate has been shockingly more efficient lately. A lot of the removal is damage based, which is very easy to play around.
Still looking at tokens as my primary win condition in a lot of matches. They keep me in it so well.
Have not had to wait for Black mana and rarely need to force things to get to WW for Auriok. I agree with some folks who said earlier that she’s not really necessary right now, though.
My sideboard is sketchy right now. Leyline feels irrelevant in any non-combo matchup and I’m worried that keeping it in there just to not lose to Scapeshift is bad when I have martyr, leonin and ghost quarters. I’m debating the following sideboard:
2 Rest in Peace
2 Stony Silence
2 Eidolon of Rhetoric
2 Mark of Asylum
2 Celestial Purge
2 Ghostly Prison
1 Blessed Alliance
1 Aven Mindcensor
1 Grafdigger's Cage
I think I’m okay with it not being good against Tron because there’s so much you have to do to get there against Tron. My main beefs with this is that no Wraths opens me up to losing to Elves (which is still a tough match up) and sometimes Merfolk (which can punch through the Ghostly Prisons). This sideboard also lacks hate for non-Affinity artifacts.
To counteract that, I am seriously considering the Leonin Relic-Warder/Phyrexian Metamorph infinite combo. I know I have poo-poo’d this in the past as many of you have, but with Serra being able to turn itself on, I suddenly don’t feel the need for Martyr and Ranger (as much as I will miss them.) Those five slots can easily become 2-3 Warders and 2 Metamorphs, since both cards have usefulness on their own (Relic-Warder opens up my sideboard and helps not have to waste sideboard cards for fringe artifacts like Ensnaring Bridge or Vedalken Shackles and also has extra value against say, Affinity or a Batterskull and Metamorph being really good at copying powerhouse creatures against Junk, Jund and Eldrazi) and can also “uh oh, I win!” against decks that can’t answer it (which Elves and Merfolk cannot.)
Very interesting for putting Blessed Alliance in the main. I like it, might try it. I have to say that Infect can be a harder matchup now that they have Blossomming Defense (I play it myself in my Infect deck, the card is sweet!)
If you want a Wrath in your sideboard, I think you can take out one Ghostly Prison for it. I have 1 Wrath and 1 GP and it works fine for me!
Nor sure about the combo, but I do feel you about the artifact hate. I've been looking lately for cards that are similar to Qasali Pridemage that we can actualy play it in our deck because I hate wasting two slots for Sundering Growths.
For Tron, I learned that it's better to just accept the fact that it is our worst matchup and not trying to hate it too much and hope that I get the Martyr/Serra combo to beat them.
Here's what my sideboard for BW Sisters currently looks like.
- This SB is when I play online. But when I go to my LGS, I usually take out some Dismembers for some Suppression Field for Kiki decks.
- I love it so far. It's very similar to Rvng's build.
If we go on the 'No Aurioks' plan for the sideboard, I think I'd run a Grafdigger's Cage and 2 Celestial Purge. Not big on Ghostly Prison, it doesn't do a whole lot against anything but Infect.
Prison has been in there for Kiki, but I ran over Boros Kiki/Nahiri tonight without it. Not ready to cut it yet, but might try without it.
Is Repel the Abominable just for ValaKut
2-1 tonight with wins over the aforementioned RW deck and MonoU Tron. Loss to Lantern which I'm a little annoyed about. Blessed Alliance continues to overperform - it saved Pridemate twice with the life gain effect. Lingering Souls finally felt bad, as a turn 3 Blood Moon on my Windbrisk, Chapel, Windbrisk hand put me down hard. I drew out of it, but it still felt awful.
Haven't seen it in awhile, but they have always given me some fits. Our hate shold just be speed bumps for them, which is why I'm also souring on Ghostly Prison right now.
Played against Infect twice today online(two different people), I won both games.
I am now 17-6 (73% win%) against Infect.
Been testing a new sideboard plan against them, I'm currently trying:
+2 Blessed Alliance, +2 Dismember, +1 Ghostly Prison, +2 Repel of the Abominable // -3 Ranger of Eos, -3 Honor of the Pure, -1 Plains.
I've been playing kitchen table magic for longer than I care to admit. I have been running a lifegain deck that my friends hate, but it has given me most of the core cards for a sisters deck. I have finally completed the deck based on the 'Welcome Back Martyr' build from this primer. I cannot afford the Auriok Champions so I have bumped the 1 drop sisters to 4 each, and substituted Suture Priests for the other two, so my final build looks like this:
I have not yet decided on what to include in the sideboard, partly because I have no local game store, so I have no idea what the meta is at the nearest place I could play. That is what I would like advice on from you folks. What I have available is as follows:
Honestly, I'd consider moving the immortal servitude to the main over Priest. We don't main the champ for life gain, we do it fit the protection. Servitude is likely to get you back a sister with some other goodies. Other than, you've caught a great traditional build that people are having a lot of success with.
As for board, I'd use the Wraths, Leylines, Stonies, RIPS, Suppression, 2 Alliance, 1 Stony, 1 Surgical, 1 Purge. You can tinker from there once you know your meta, but that gives you lots of action against the field.
Just won my first game against Bant Eldrazi with BW Sisters. I played against the deck 3 times with BW. (1-2)
Bant Eldrazi is currently the top deck in modern. I have to say that the Mono-White version is a waaaaay better than BW Sisters for the Eldrazi matchup because they can bounce Squadron Hawks all day if they want too. With Mono-white, you get above 30 life very quickly because of the bouncing. While BW Sisters is just terrible because they bounce our tokens and they don't come back.
So if you see a lot of Bant Eldrazi. Go with mono-white!
I also play bw but i have the feeling that it is weaker than mono w. I play 2x Sorin, 4x lingering souls, 2x Kambal (consul of allocation) , 2x Immortal servitute as well as 2 Mortuary Mire.
Depends on the match up. Repel can prevent a swarm deck from tapping everything and killing you. Pay No Heed is better against a single damage source, say, a Valukut or Lightning Storm.
I'm souring on BW as well, based on the results people are seeing with very traditional builds, lately. I've refallen in love with the deck and it has very little to do with Lingering Souls. Part of me has been really sour on them, but I have not played the decks that made me bring them in the first place (namely, Infect and BGx) in months.
That only comes up to 14 cards, but I'm not sure what other card you might have meant in your post, where you mentioned using the Stonies and later mentioned using 1 Stony. I'm unsure which of the cards in my previous list of possibles you might have meant.
I think I meant Ghostly, as in Ghostly Prison. Sorry about that and in general as I know I said I'd have a primer update and it's done, I just accidentally broke the primer's code and need to fix it.
Also, with te BW we're able to play Soring, Solemn Visitor, who adds a lot of pressure in a game.

I also have the remaining 2 Suture Priests from my playset, as well as 1 each of Windbrisk Heights, Martyr of Sands, and Ranger of Eos.
I do not think any of the other cards from my lifegain deck fit well into the sisters build, but I will list them just in case anyone disagrees:
4x Boon Reflection
4x Rhox Faithmender
4x Storm Herd
2x Alhammarret's Archive
2x Darien, King of Kjeldor
4x Nomad Stadium
Any advice on building a sideboard from what I have available would be very much appreciated.
