We matchup like everyone else does, lol. The deck is so flexible with Altar that even if you gain a million life, they’ll mill you out if you don’t have the answers.
On another note, why does WOTC hate us? Is life gain aggro always going to be relegated to standard viability? It seems like they throw us a bone every set, but each one is... garbage lol. I do believe there will be new lists pop up using MH cards, but no one has found the right mix yet.

But the cards almost look good. It is like they are trying to build a SS martyr deck for standard or for New to Modern players. A real card would be a Lingering souls type card or a new ascendant. Instead they print copys with higher CMC that function less. Other decks have speed up their tempo while ours has been left behind.
If you really look at our lists they have not changed since M15. Sure we try new cards but they are not "better".
Sorry to rant.
No, don’t apologize. I’m with you. I still think there’s some mix of Battle Screech / Sephara / Force of Virtue that could give us some juice, but for the most part we’ve stagnated where the rest of modern has evolved greatly.
Trophy ok, decay yeah, GQ sometimes :/ .... Boomerang now thats jank
But in all seriousness one of the main advantages of path is the ability to path your own cretures to ramp, and instant speed and the deck really need both.
Instead of boomerang (the card) consider the effects, in cards like unsubstantiate or teferi, time raveler. I've played against both in T1 decks. Path is not necessary a 4x, but is still the best removal we have.
How enchantment removal works in modern vs jund is you want 1 main deck and 3 sideboard at max. If you top maindeck vs jund its late game and they have all ready liklly used their assassins or decay. Junds decks dont play more then 2 or 4 of those kinda cards, depending on how many assassins t they want to better their tron match up.
Not sure if anyone else is still here, but I think Heliod, Sun-Crowned is going to give us a nice boost. With Walking Ballista, who is tutorable with Ranger of Eos and Ranger-Captain of Eos, it's a kill combo that skips graveyards and attack phases. Is a potentially huge indistructible creature, a resilient pump-effect and can give lifelink to some of our guys as a mana-sink (looking at you Ajani Pridemate).
All in all, I'll try 3 of them and look where this gets me! This has the potential of changing a lot of the deck structure!
