How many Jace do you run? would you mind to share the list you brought to the GP?
I remember months ago someone proposing to use Jace and others replying that using Jace "turns on" our opponent's creature removal, which is otherwise useless. What has been your experience with him?

Which Jace?
We've mainly been talking about Jace the Mindsculptor over the last few days.
Vryn's Prodigy does switch on removal. He's pretty OK. I tested him a bunch and found the need to wait a turn before flashing something back not as good as snapcaster and his looting effect decent but waiting a turn for it was a bit meh.
For a similar effect I'd say search for azcanta or snapcaster mage are what you want.
As for mindsculptor; he's been great and I've been running two.

Hi all, I used to play turns a while back and did relatively well with a UW version (pretty sure I posted it in here). I always found the U version to be a bit too glass cannony (losing to Thalia always sucked...as was seen during the Toronto GP when the deck was on camera to buddy of mine Davies Clarke). There was a UB version that floated around for a while but seems to have dropped off completely and am wondering why? It seemed like a pretty good list and gave you outs to cards you didn't have ways of beating in the MU version.
Since everyone is expecting an uptick in Boil/Chokes, doesn't it make more sense to reconsider splashing a secondary color? Playing lands like Glacial Fortress etc makes you a bit weaker to blood moon but more resilient to boil/choke.
Really nice the 1-1-1 split of thing snappy and jace made me giggle do you ever feel you'd go with a different split to see some of them more often? like maybe a second snappy?
what is the general agreement on remand right now? i remember that not long ago, it was that with all the cheap stuff going around it wasn't really relevant...
and one more question, i understand we use minamo to get an extra use of mikokoro, but what's the use of Oboro?

remand is still one of those cards that people either love or hate. Right now I'm completely off it, but very much considering putting it back in.
Oboro and minamo are actually to add U in the case of choke or boil.
yeah I'd like to get on there but stupid time difference would make it highly unlikely for me to be online at the same time as you guys (i'm in Australia)

yea doc! watched the last 2 matches live and was really sweet because his round 3 opponent was also streaming so i was able to watch both sides of the match.
you should totally come into the discord! we have peeps all over the world; lots in EU. even to read the posts and get quicker feedback on ideas. Since necro started it, there have been fewer posts here as we're heading over there more. at least join up and say "hey!"
Ok, ok...if you insist...lol
Any chance that someone has the list that lsv was playing? I'm interested in seeing which way he went and how many jtms he was playing

I had a chance to play a few games with the u/w Jace list that 7-1ed the Modern Challenge. The deck feels really strong. I really wish it had a bit more early interaction though. I might try and squeeze some remands into the list.
Just 3-2ed a league with the UW Jace Taking Turns deck. I would have 4-1ed but I ran out of time after Jace Ultimating a lantern control player in game 3. I ran Remands over Opts and I currently don't have a strong opinion either way. The deck felt very strong and had an easy time closing out games even against discard. Not a single opponent conceded so I had to play through/ensure the lock every single game.
I beat:
Lantern (Lost to time, but I would have won)
BUG Control
UB Control
RG Eldrazi

It isn't the clear best version.
It has major issues in terms of having a two-part engine to draw cards. If requires running a huge number of cantrips due to needing both parts of the engine in hand, and furthermore running as foretold leaves you open to an awkward situation where you have one on the field but no draw spells and have to waste turn spells just to draw into the other half of your engine. Obviously in this situation with a dictate you'd be live to just go off, so As Foretold as a card does pretty much nothing by itself.
It's got positives and negatives and isn't clearly better than a version running dictates.
At the moment i'm seeing some strong benefits for running a dictate version, but swapping mines for ancestral vision. It's been working very well in testing.
