SamAffandy: I've had a lot of trouble against etron, and that is very prevalent in my meta, so I haven't been playing Hatebears as much as I used to.
dougmtg: I used to run a version with Birds of Paradise and no Noble Hierarch. The deck is definitely still passable using the Birds. There are obviously situations where Hierarch is vastly preferred, as the exalted trigger really helps in certain matchups, but I think you'd find similar results using Birds.
Don't mean to beat a dead horse here but is anyone currently running Aether Vial? I have an extra set and think there is some great synergy with Renegade Rallier[/card]. Especially in regards to allowing you to Ghost Quarter multiple times early in a game.
Hey, I've been playing Modern for a year and a half now, I used to play UW Spirits but currently play BTLb Scapeshift, I enjoy both decks but they both seem unfavorable right now. I've always had an interest in G/W Hatebears with it being one of my favorite color combination and having a unique style of play, but I wasn't sure if I should've invested into it. There isn't a lot of game play coverage about the archetype these days, so a lot of my SB options and even MB options might be old. Could you guys could critique my deck list?
Personally I would cut a Mirran Crusader for a Wilt-Leaf Liege. I have a soft spot for the card though.
As for my own deck, I'm thinking of taking this to next FNM, first time I'll get to play in months. I played something similar last time to decent results, the cards I'm still debating about are keep the Glittering Wish and Blessed Alliance in or take them out for 2 Collective Company. I have a Scrying Sheets incoming as well and will probably cut a Plains or Reflecting Pool for it.
Personally I would cut a Mirran Crusader for a Wilt-Leaf Liege. I have a soft spot for the card though.
As much as I love Wilt-Leaf Liege, I think Mirran Crusader is quite powerful in the current meta with a lot of Grixis Shadow lists skimping on Lightning Bolts.
Overall, I love how spicy your list looks. Reveillark, Glittering Wish, and Shapers Sanctuary are really cool. I'm curious at how theyre working for you. Leonin Arbiter doesnt affect that card, right? It doesnt seem like it does looking at the wording on Glittering Wish, but I could be wrong.

Leonin Arbiter has no effect on Glittering Wish because it doesnt search or affect my library. Ive been thinking of cutting down Qasali Ambusher to 1 and putting in a Mirran Crusader and Paladin en-Vec for a better Grixis matchup. Going to be playing at a store ive never played at so I dont know what to expect.
Shapers Sanctuary has done pretty well so far, Wish has done well in the past. Reveillark is a card Ive never tried but it looks fun and it gets stronger with the Mirran and Paladin added in.

That list is looking really spicy. Might try Glittering Wish out myself, one of the most interesting cards ever printed in Magic and so much potential.

Wilt-Leaf can be very powerful in the meta if you can path to exile a Reality Smasher and drop him on the board.
He can be a tempo play, allowing you to swing with a 7/7 Loxodon Smiter on turn 3 with a noble hierarch, or just allow you to grind it out later.

Was able to visit the store ahead of time to see what to expet when I play there. Apparently the popular decks are Death's Shadow, Abzan Midrange, and Burn. I also picked up another Paladin en-Vec, Glittering Wish, and Horizon Canopy while I was there, so I'm going to do some edits to my deck before I post the exact list I take. Gotta find room for some Kor Firewalkers in the side
EDIT
The changes I ended up making were mainboard removing a Reflecting Pool for Horizon Canopy and in the sideboard removing 1 Ethersworn Canonist and Ajani, Mentor of Heroes for 2 Kor Firewalker.
Last night I went 3-1 against Affinity, GR Blood Moon, Storm, and UW control. I think I would have beat UW control had I not swung with my Gaddock Teeg when he had a Celestial Collonade to block. It was such a stupid misplay by me.
With lightning bolt seeing less and less play, should I remove Spellskite from my sideboard?
Edit: thinking about replacing Spellskite with Reclamation Sage. He’s good against Affinity, any deck with blood moon, UW control, lantern control, Bogle, Ad Naseum, 8rack, BW tokens, etc.
Went 3-1 at FNM with my list, losing round 1 to RG Valakut but winning the remaining rounds against Ironworks, Burn, and Elves. Thinking of adding a Sacred Foundry to the deck so I don't have to have a Birds of Paradise on field to cast Blood Moon for future games. Here's the list I ended up running.
Never got to play Paladin en-Vec or Shapers' Sanctuary this time, Reveillark did well as a beatstick and revive threat, Mirran Crusader and Collective Effort single handedly won games against Elves, and Sigarda was the game ender against Burn.

With the unbanning of Bloodbraid Elf I want to try a list with red and a little less focus on the bears aspect in favor of burn spells. First thing that came to mind was something like this:
Obviously needs work, and I'm debating whether I want to lower the burn spells to fit in 2 Collected Company but I think something along these lines could work.

Bloodbraiding into a Fiery Justice looks like the nut against creature decks, and I really like the idea. But if you're running fetches and no arbiters, would Knight of the Reliquary not just be better than Thoctar? 3 Mountains also seems too much, I personally don't see the merit in running any. A couple of other interesting cascade targets for this deck could be Domri Rade and Ajani, Caller of the Pride if you aren't going the CoCo route.
EDIT: I just realized a Fiery Justice is a blowout against GDS if they're at 8 or higher, and quality removal if they have 3 or more life. Kills all of their threats reliably.
Sadly I don't have any Knight of the Reliquary or I'd definitely run them over Thoctar. If I had Grove of the Burnwillows I'd be tempted to up the number of Fiery Justice and add in Kavu Predator. You do make a fair point about the Mountains though, going to cut it down to 1 Mountain and increase the Forest and Plains count to 4 each. Would rather keep the 1 Mountain so I have a fetch target that won't damage me entering play.

This deck seems like it’s well position now, with good matchups against Jund, control, and Tron, which should increase in play to prey on Jund and Control.

I've been loving GW Hatebears in the new meta; Thalia, Voice, and Smiter are quite good versus Jace and Jund decks. Also, Arbiter is great for punishing people holding onto their fetches for Jace's zero.
I'm playing a CoCo list currently, but what do you all think of Wellinger's list from GP Lyon? That Akroma is super spicy, and I love it. Quite an interesting choice over something like Sigarda or Baneslayer. Also, the sideboard is quite extensive, and I think it should be more focuesed.
Anyone interested to join a fb grp solely for hate bears?
